Meet J.K.

We were lucky to catch up with J.K. recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi J.K., so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?

From a young age I’ve always gone against the grain, and been a risk taker. With anything in life, you have to be willing to think differently and move differently to be successful. I’m very calculated with things. Especially being an artist. You have to be confident and genuine in everything you do. And be willing to ride your own wave. Follow your heart,

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m the lead singer, songwriter, and founder of the band “DAYDRNKRZ” I love being creative on so many different levels. I Literally have the best job in the world as a musician. I’m truly blessed to be able to chase my dreams, and make a living from it.
I started the band “DAYDRNKRZ” back in 2020 with a concept of rolling different styles (rock, hip-hop, reggae) into a unique sound from all the different artist that inspired me over the years.
4 years later we signed with “SKP” have 2 albums, 1 EP, 1 mixtape, and countless singles out. And currently working on a 2 new albums for 2026.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My willingness to learn, and listen has been the most beneficial skills I implemented early in my career. You also have to really and truly be committed to your dreams. You can’t ride the fence. Consistency is key.
Also be willing to go your own direction. It’s cool to be inspired, and to follow what other acts do at times, but at some point you have to find your own lane to set yourself apart. And the biggest thing is to never ever stop pushing. If it was easy everyone would do it.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?

Doing what I love! To be honest everyday is a gift, and life is way too short. I’ve lost a lot of friends, and family over the years so I truly appreciate how precious life is.
I try and live everyday like it could all go away at anytime. I spend my days and nights writing, recording, touring, and trying to spread love.
We are all on our own journey, and time is the most valuable thing we have. So I try to give my time, energy and love to all those that rock with me. On the flip side I’m very grateful for the people in my life that do the same for me.
