We recently connected with J Mike and have shared our conversation below.
J, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
One way I would say that I keep creativity alive is by going through experiences and trying new things. When I say experience I mean the things that life brings us. Trying that new food, trying new clothes even that new book. They all give you a different aspect and perspective on life. It’s hard to draw some inspiration or creativity when you are in the hamster wheel doing the same thing over and over. That’s why it’s dope to meet new people they give you a different point of view something, it helps open the mind. But that’s how I keep it alive
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a clothing designer, I have a clothing brand name Jon Jamar which is women’s and men’s clothing. What we believe is sparking imagination, love, and inspiration in what you wear with innovation, originality, and creativity create love and inspire is the lifestyle. I started doing hats to being in Michigan Fashion Week 23 I am grateful for my journey. We are preparing for our next show which is the Indie Fashion excited about that
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say research, network, and confidence in myself. You have to understand that it is really marathon, you have to know that you are in it for the long run and you can not be afraid to fail because you are going to fail Just because you fail do not mean you will not be successful, embrace the journey

The Alchemist his passion for reaching his destination was so dope, it was so many obstacles and barriers along the way. Keep going even when it looks impossible keep going and understand the distraction are going to come along the way
