Meet Jackie Monahan

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jackie Monahan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jackie below.

Jackie, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from a deep need to serve the world. I believe we are all one and when we can all look at the world through an optimistic lens everyone’s life improves. I am relentless about getting this message out there to raise the collective vibration for a better world.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. I use humor subversively to encourage open-mindedness. I have a wicked wit so the learning is well hidden as just off-the-wall comedy. The jokes don’t come from me. I was born with a wildly unique look on life and my work is to hone it so that the collective can comprehend it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The most impactful skill is my ability to make anything funny. There is a difference between reflective comedy and healing comedy. I do my best to heal through laughter. I am sober and I learned a great deal about myself making that transition. I now spend a great deal of time helping others stay sober. This helps me enormously to get out of my head. When I am out of my head. With both my comedy and my sobriety I do all I can to life people’s spirits in a lasting way.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My Ideal audience is people who want to laugh and also want to see the world in a more productive light. I believe we are on the cusp of a more beautiful world and we are going through some major growing pains and if we arent laughing we are not taking life seriously enough.
