Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jackie Rideau & Cara Randolph. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jackie Rideau & Cara Randolph, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
One of our favorite series is Fast and The Furious, which has the legendary Vin Diesel playing Dominic Torrero. One of the most popular fom the movie is “living life one quarter mile at time”. However, what happens when every quarter mile comes with its own challenges and suffering? It can lead you to want to take a pause on certain aspect of your life and even take a break from potential growth. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 the Apostle Paul is ministering to the people in Corinth letting the know that we actually thrive in our weakness because it gives God the opportunities to show His strength. It’s important to remember that there is no growth without suffering. In suffering the Master Potter is given the opportunity to mold His clay. He spins His pottery wheel, he throws on a lump of clay, he pulls the clay continuously until He achieves His desired shape, but the journey doesn’t end there. After the vessel is formed, He then takes it and places it into the fire and it becomes a work of art that will always hold its shape. For us, finding our purpose was becoming moldable like clay and developing the endurance to keep going even when you want to give up.
In the beginning of our journey with D.N.D., Do Not Disturb LLC, our purpose and mission vision for our brand was not fully solidified. We had always known that God was calling us to do something amazing through this brand, but we struggled to establish our true identity. We had jumped the gun on starting the business, but we didn’t take the time to let God usher our steps in the business as He desired it to be. It wasn’t until after launching an unsuccessful brand that God revealed to us its true purpose and what He desired of us through D.N.D.. As we were sitting on a couch after praying, we both were led to know that the ultimate purpose for our brand was to take the messages that God was placing in our hearts and share them with the world. We were supposed to use this brand to be a living witness of the things that God has done for us. This brand is for everyone, weather a believer or someone who is still seeking to get to know Jesus. D.N.D. is to shine a light on God’s Kingdom and show that there is always purpose in every season.
Through the wilderness of starting our brand, God shed light and solidified our purpose for D.N.D.. He is the Potter, and we are the clay that he is molding as he does His great work through us. We found our purpose by humbling ourselves, submitting to the will of God, and trusting in Him to lead and guide us through the journey that lies ahead.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” John 1:1 (NIV). Through all things God was able to speak life or death with His tongue. By doing this He showed us that the power of life and death is in the words that you surround yourself with. Words have the power to influence your thoughts, your outlook of yourself, and your relationship with others. When we are putting words on garments, we are speaking life to the situations where God has showed up and been ever present in our lives. Believing in the presence and power of Jesus and putting on the full armor of God not just in the spiritual realm, but in the physical as well.
D.N.D. is a faith-based streetwear apparel company that was formed to inspire and encourage others in their faith no matter where they are currently on their journey. We wanted to showcase our testimonials for the world to be able to read and relate to. God placed His desired messages in our hearts, and then He ushered our creative minds to bring the deigns to life. Though D.N.D. is a business, our true mission vision and our main focus is to bring glory to the Kingdom of God by being shepherds of the Lord and spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ through testimony.
What make D.N.D. unique? They say you never know how words and things will impact someone. We can think of countless times that we’ve read something or someone random says something that aligned perfectly with what we were going through at the time. God called us to do this for a purpose, and that purpose is to help and inspire others. D.N.D. is that message of hope, that testimony of triumph, that story of exercised faith, or the willfulness to praise that reminds everyone that they are not alone on their journey with Christ no matter they currently may be in their walk.
What’s next for D.N.D.? D.N.D is still on its journey of growth. We have our highlighted features of the month, and we are continuality dropping new merch every 3 months to keep thing fresh and renewed. We are always looking for new creative ways to market and collaborate with others, and you may catch us around town at various pop-ups and workshops. Also, as we are growing, we are also branching out in other areas. It was through D.N.D. that God also revealed another calling over our lives. God placed it within our hearts to start our new faith-based podcast entitled Intercession Squad. Through D.N.D. we sparked conversations, and now we have those same conversation live on our podcast. We discuss and array different sires and topics while hosting a variety of guest. Please check both D.N.D. and Intercession Squad out on our socials listed below. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
One of the most important things that any business should have is faith. You have to have faith that God is there with you and that He will lead and guide you in every step of the journey. When starting a business, there are so many unknowns that can at time be overwhelming, and you have to understand that things may not always go according to plan. However, by having faith and trusting that God will sustain and supply all of your needs is how you can push forward and persevere. Remember He is the God of hill and valleys, and having faith the size of a mustard seed has the power to move mountains.
A few other things that can be impactful are staying focused on keeping your identity while remaining disciplined in your mission vision as you embark on your journey. Knowing who and what you are is fundamental in anything that you do. After all, it you don’t know who you are, how can you expect anyone else to? We understand how important these things are because we ourselves lost sight of these things at one point when we came face to face with adversity, scheduling issues, and just the basic need to want to survive. In the mist of all the chaos we panicked, we started leaning into our own understand and not into God’s. It was in this time that we lost sight of what we were truly being called to do. BUT God allowed us to humble ourselves and He realigned us with our purpose and mission vison as He led us back on the right track. He confirmed for us and reestablished our identity just as He always intended it to be. Standing on the foundation of God and understating the identity he gives you allows you to stay disciplined in your mission and on your journey.
No matter where you are currently, if you are still deciding if you want to step out there and go for it, if you are going through the beginning stages of the start-up, if you are at the highest of highs or the lowest of lows, or if you have plateaued out and gotten stuck, please remember to stay humbled and remain prayerful in you journey. Maintain your faith, submit, and put your trust in God, because just as the scripture tells us “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13. (KJV)
