We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jackie Rodman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jackie , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose through trial and error truly. I thought I knew what I wanted a few times and it wasn’t till my late twenties that I realized I wanted to be an Esthetician and leave my college degree behind. I think trying different careers actually helped me choose the right one in the end. I always knew I wanted to help people in some way I just didn’t know what that would look like.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I started my Spa and brand rooted in natural healing and helping others with their skin inside and out. So many of my clients have came to me thinking prescription medications were the only way to have amazing skin. However with my Spa, I advocate for using products that are rooted from nature, but with advanced formulations and technology to truly transform your skin. I am excited for my continued learning and desire to want to discover more ingredients, and newer technology so I can always bring the very best to my clients.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The best tips I have are to continue learning and never stop learning. Stay humble, and keep chasing your dreams and don’t stop until your dreams are a reality. If you become lost, just remember why you started and how far you have come.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Some of the obstacles I have faced are trying to stay original in a competitive industry. Sometimes it’s hard trying to think of new marketing ideas or new social media content when it seems like everything has already been thought of. I try to overcome this by being myself, and trying to show people I am the same person both online and in person.
