We were lucky to catch up with Jackson Hill recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jackson , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
The first 19 years of my life people made fun of my appearance, looked down on me for being homeschooled, or excluded me. In college I finally had enough and began fighting for my value. I started working out, I stopped caring what people thought of me, I embraced my passions without fear of belittlement.
I was completely focused on building the type of man I could not only be proud of, but also create a positive self image that was undeniable.

I am a songwriter & producer in Nashville TN where I’ve been chasing the dream for almost 10 years. My passion is helping artists create a song or a sound that expresses their brand! For the last few years that endeavor has picked up more & more clients as well as fellow songwriters!
I also release my own music like my new single “ Ocean Line” which can be found on all streaming platforms !
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Motivation, Determination, and experience in the field. I learned so much in Berklee College Of Music but, it couldn’t prepare me for what being on the ground in Nashville could teach.
This industry is changing all the time, but the best advice I could give is stay on your toes, be genuine, and don’t take rejection as the end!
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
I think we all dream of writing with Chris Stapleton haha! I think my love for raw, real life storytelling would fit well with him!
I’ve tried for years to write pop country, however it’s never sat well with my soul.
In my dream, I write songs for artists that tell stories about life, love and heartbreak.
