Meet Jacob Suarez

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jacob Suarez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jacob below.

Jacob, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

Resilience, for me, was shaped by conversations with my grandparents and learning about their incredible journeys. One side of my family immigrated from Uruguay over 50 years ago, arriving in a country where they didn’t speak the language, didn’t know how to drive, and had a newborn to care for—all while facing the threat of deportation. The other side came from similarly humble beginnings, overcoming numerous obstacles all on their own.

Despite challenges that could have easily ended their dreams, both sides of my family pushed forward. Through sleepless nights and countless setbacks, they managed to get educated, build new skills, and create businesses that profoundly impacted their communities.

Their lives are a constant reminder and true inspiration for me when I face my own challenges.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Most of my career has been in the trauma scene and hoarding cleanup industry, and I consider it an honor to help people on the worst day of their lives. When I’m called to restore someone’s home, I put all my effort into making sure it no longer holds the weight of the trauma they experienced.

Having witnessed my own share of trauma, I understand just how crucial compassion, thoroughness, and empathy are in this work. What excites me most is using my platform to make an even greater impact. Through social media, I’ve been able to reach over 7 million followers, helping to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging millions to take their first steps toward healing.

This platform has also opened doors for meaningful partnerships with brands that share my mission. Thanks to these collaborations, thousands have accessed $300 in free licensed therapy and home-cleaning scholarships, making real support accessible for those who need it most.

Lately, my focus has been on creating content that brings awareness to the trauma people face and how others can be a supportive hand. I’m also developing easy-to-follow guides for trauma survivors, building relationships with emergency response teams, and educating others on how to pursue a career in trauma cleanup.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three skills that have been most valuable in my career are cold outreach, delegation, and AI prompt engineering.

1. Cold Outreach: Opportunities rarely just fell into my lap—I had to actively pursue them. Whenever I needed a partnership, I did everything I could to get in front of the right people. My advice? Try a 3-month stint in a role that requires cold outreach and client rapport-building, like Cutco, solar panel, or software sales. Mastering this skill in a challenging setting will pay off when you apply it to something you’re truly passionate about.

2. Delegation: Finding people who can work faster, better, and more affordably than you frees up time for high-impact tasks and personal well-being. If there’s a task that drains your energy or takes forever to complete, consider bringing in a freelancer to handle it. This lets you focus on growth areas that really matter.

AI Prompt Engineering: A well-crafted prompt can save you money, time, and mental energy. There are tons of free resources on YouTube, and I’m currently taking a $50 Google course on it. This skill has become indispensable for improving productivity and problem-solving.

Each of these skills has allowed me to build a career focused on efficiency, growth, and impact.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

Trauma scene and hoarding cleanup is an incredibly niche industry—many people don’t even realize this service exists or that insurance often covers the cost. The real challenge is reaching those who might need this help and presenting our services in a way that truly resonates.

To address this challenge, my plan involves:

Partnering with Key Contacts: I’ll reach out to people who directly interact with our target market, offering genuinely helpful resources they can share with their clients. Resources like “The Ultimate Clutter Clean Up Guide” and access to $300 of free therapy create a bridge to our services while providing real value.

Creating Compassionate, Educational Content: My goal is to produce content that compassionately educates people on how to begin their healing journey, whether for themselves or a loved one. This content will focus on breaking down barriers, encouraging positive steps forward, and connecting viewers to the support they need.
