Meet Jacob Watson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jacob Watson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jacob, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I just strive to make content others can enjoy, different styles and different methods, mixing it up help keep me feeling like I can make anything happen creatively.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I started working on music at the age of 9 when I found rap music through my friends. Before rap, I never liked music, regardless of genre. I was inspired heavily by eminem. His story of making it as a white artist in the genre really helped keep me going. Then as a teen I started doing things I probably shouldn’t have. Getting involved in more street activities, making money, and trying to make it. I eventually got out of that lifestyle, but it helped mold me into who I am, I rap about my experiences as a mover. I’m not about the capping, I exaggerate but I don’t fabricate. I would also like to give a huge shoutout to the boys Collin and Clinton Smith, my fellow band mates in blip, but also incredible friends, always motivating me. But also a huge shoutout to the brother Trent Torok, man Gave me the battery on my back to keep going, man’s left to serve this country in the army back when I was in high-school, but he never gave up on me, without him, I would have quit a long time ago, I love all of you.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Persistence, passion, and resourcefulness. Never quit, push through the hate, keep trying. Never give up. Do what you have to.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Hmu on instagram, @meme_cabbage_boi for collaborations.
