Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jacquelyn Ross. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jacquelyn, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Well, cooking has been a passion of mine from since I was a little girl. Always in the kitchen with my grandmas and my mommy. It’s always been my outlet for anything emotion that I’m feeling; cooking is my form of art and the reason I keep going! The kitchen has always been my favorite place in the house as well as a kid, I guess yo can say it was always a calling for me. My family members on both sides of my family’s are chefs. When it’s just me in the kitchen with my seasonings, pots, pans; and ideas I feel so complete! It honestly feels like there’s no one exists on this world but me.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I sell plates and cater events. Eventually, if god blesses me I will have my food production company and chain of restaurants. The most exciting part about being in the food industry, is the costumers! meeting different people, getting different and honest critiques. I honestly love it, helps me expand and grow in places that I wouldn’t even expected to.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My communcation, Patience and Observation are skills of mine that I believe are the most impactful in my journey. The main thing I van say to people who are early in their entrepreneurial stages is PATIENCE IS KEY, no matter who you think no watching or supporting; know that there’s somebody out there that does! Just keep going, you got to get through the dirty parts to clean up!

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
I would honestly just live. You never know what can really happen in 10 years. You can become a billionaire, doctor or even and lawyer. Just know me, I’m just gonna keep on going!
