Meet Jada Jay

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jada Jay. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jada, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
I enjoy my craft so much that being creative is self-care for me. When I need to relieve stress, I write down my thoughts, feelings, and emotions in my journal. Usually after writing in my journal, I feel much better and then I start doing something creative like filming content for Tik Tok or writing a book or a screenplay. After that I usually submit myself for auditions and pitch myself to brands for collaboration opportunities. This is both relaxing and productive for me because it doesn’t require a lot of effort and if I am selected to audition or partner with a brand then that is more money for me. I think it is extremely important to participate in self-care activities that are also productive so that way if you are super ambitious like me, you won’t spend that time stressing over things you have to get done, while also not overworking yourself. I am not going to lie, I am a shopaholic so I usually go on a shopping spree to make myself feel better, nothing like a little retail therapy because I always work hard so I can shop harder. I also make calls to my support system and go on a long rant about what has been stressing me out because they always have good advice and encouraging words, so I recommend surrounding yourself with understanding and supportive individuals. Who you surround yourself with is a direct reflection of you and also impacts you mentally, and spiritually so choose wisely who you allow in your circle. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, I go to God about all my problems because the bible says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33. God wants to help you, and you can’t do everything by yourself because if you try you will fail, he sustains me, protects me, provides for me and is the reason I am who I am today and why I have all that I do. Praise him through your ups and downs and watch how he works things out for you. Read the bible and spend time with him every day and your life will be transformed. Cast your worries and burdens unto him and he will handle your lightweight, trust me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am the owner of my own company “Jada Jay Entertainment.” Founded in 2020 by Singer, Actress, Model, Influencer & Writer Jada Jay, Jada Jay Entertainment is a company that offers workshops, classes, and training for performing artists who are seeking to experience opportunity to grow. The learning experience we provide is tailored to the unique needs of each performer, ensuring the best possible results and maximum support throughout the process. Our company also provides self-tape services, readers, audition coaching, references to talent agencies, and so much more for performers that are seeking work. Our team is not only committed to providing our performers with the necessary training and knowledge that’s needed to start their journey as a working artist, but to also educate everyone on the reality of working as a performer in the entertainment industry. We’re dedicated to providing you the best service, with a focus on dependability, customer service, and personal growth.
I am a Pop & R&B Singer-Songwriter whose music is on all streaming platforms. I make music that people of all backgrounds can relate to in hopes that people feel like they aren’t alone and essentially empowered by my music. I also make music so that people can feel good about themselves and their circumstances in general and know that if I can get through the storm, so can they. I enjoy influencing on Tik Tok by talking about God and spreading the gospel and educating people on what the modern-day church tends to be afraid to address and teach others in fear of things being too “controversial.” I also enjoy making skits showing my acting abilities and making funny videos that people from all walks of life can relate to, as well as get ready with me videos because I tend to inspire a lot of people’s sense of style with my outfits both on and offline. All my life I have enjoyed storytelling whether it be through performing onstage or on-camera or writing books, screenplays or even music. I seek to educate people about the goodness of Christ through my writing in hopes that when times get hard, that they would trust in his plan and know that everything happens for his good. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The wisdom I have acquired throughout my journey has been extremely impactful for both my personal and professional growth. The saying “rejection is God’s protection” has proven to be true time and time again and has helped me to be able to trust in God’s timing and plan for my life. An important quality that I have that has helped me on my journey has been my integrity and let me tell you, it is important to have because the devil will provide short cuts to get to the top like sleeping with someone to get a role or backstabbing someone you care about to make your dreams come true. It is a dog eats dog world we live in but when you choose to have integrity and work hard at what you do while trusting and leaning on God, you will dodge the counterfeit blessing and God will bless you with more than you could have ever thought to even ask for. Real recognizes real and when people see that you are a person of integrity, they know to come correct and think twice before even coming at you with the b.s. There aren’t too many genuine people in this industry, so pray for discernment, make smart choices and be careful who you tell your next moves to because the devil comes as an angel of light. And lastly having good time management skills have helped a lot and I’ve learned that punctuality can make or break an opportunity for you. People who hire want to know that you are dependable and time management and dependability goes hand in hand. I have heard plenty of casting directors say they refuse to work with super talented actors because they are always late. My advice on how to have better time management skills is to always arrive 10-15 minutes early, get a planner and always set plenty of alarms and reminders on your phone. When you are given important information, write it down immediately and set an alarm or reminder immediately. As for integrity and believing that rejection is Gods protection, I recommend reading the bible, spending time with God, pray and ask him for wisdom, discernment and study the fruits of the spirit.
