Meet Jade Ramirez

We were lucky to catch up with Jade Ramirez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jade, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from how I was raised. My grandmother introduced me to dance at age three, and I learned early that discipline, creativity, and hard work go hand in hand. I trained nonstop, became the youngest member of my studio’s competition team, and even started teaching as a teenager. Rejection showed up early, but instead of stopping me, it motivated me to grow. When my path shifted from dance to acting, I carried that same determination with me — and when new opportunities like voiceover and film work opened up, I followed them. Through personal loss and the inevitable ups and downs of this industry, performing has always been what keeps me centered. I don’t quit — I adapt. That’s where my resilience comes from.

If there’s one thing that defines my career, it’s this: I never quit. Every “no” became another reason to keep going. My mentors and teachers have shown me how to turn setbacks into stepping stones, and I’m endlessly grateful for every person who’s helped me keep the fire alive in this unpredictable, beautiful industry.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m Jade Ramirez — an actor, dancer, and experiential producer working between film sets, stages, and major national events. What I love most about my career is that it lets me live in both the creative and the collaborative side of storytelling. On screen, I’ve recently appeared as Rosalba in Katie’s Mom (Amazon/Tubi/Redbox), celebrated the LA premiere of The Million Dollar Bet, and have national commercials and international voiceover projects currently airing and streaming.

Outside of acting, I produce experiential marketing activations for whiskey and tequila brands, traveling nationwide to bring immersive experiences to festivals, tours, and cultural events. It’s a different form of storytelling — one that allows people to step into a brand’s world and feel a sense of connection.

Currently, I’m also helping lead a charity initiative with Coast to Coast Talent Group and ReBUILD LA to support families affected by the recent fires in Los Angeles. Being able to combine creativity, community, and purpose has been incredibly meaningful.

What ties everything together for me — whether I’m in front of the camera, behind a microphone, or producing on the ground — is the drive to create experiences that make people feel something real. That’s the core of my work and my brand.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Training is essential to building a lasting acting career. Early on, I didn’t realize just how important it was — but acting is a craft, and to do it well, you have to study people, emotions, and the human condition. Comedy especially is a skill that can be honed, and I’ve found that watching the greats — from classic television to timeless films — is one of the best ways to learn and stay inspired.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is to trust my instincts. There were moments in my life when I knew what I needed to do, but I second-guessed myself — whether from fear or listening to too many outside opinions. Our instincts are our secret weapon. The more we trust them, the more we grow, take risks, and open doors we never thought possible.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

Scream! — just kidding… but honestly, sometimes you have to let those feelings out. I used to bottle everything up until my mind would start spinning, anxiety would creep in, and I’d feel completely frozen. The best advice I can give is to write it out. Don’t seek opinions from people who aren’t in your industry — they mean well, but sometimes we subconsciously want to be talked out of the very opportunities we’ve been waiting for. Be brave, trust yourself, and ride the wave.
