Meet Jade Robertson

We were lucky to catch up with Jade Robertson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jade, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I believe my resilience stems from my years competing in sports, specifically gymnastics. Gymnastics involves a lot of trial and error—many failures before finally mastering a skill. Even after you’ve achieved a skill, mistakes and falls can still happen. In competition, the mindset you must have is clear: if you fall or make a mistake, you get back up and keep going, often with just a thirty seconds to collect yourself and restart your routine. That mindset became second nature to me, and I’ve applied it to every aspect of my life. It’s ingrained in me like muscle memory—no matter what happens, you have to get back up! In life, we can get weighed down by failures, mistakes, or setbacks, but it’s essential to rise again and keep trying. I always remind myself, ‘What if it works this time?’ And if it doesn’t, I’ll pick myself up, dust myself off, and try again.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I currently work as a Speech Therapist for children and also create content on the side. While I love working with the kids, I feel it’s time to pivot and focus on content creation full-time.

What makes me unique, as people often tell me, is my ability to brighten up their day, which is why my nickname is ‘Sunshine.’ I bring a positive energy to life that feels increasingly rare. Through my content creation, I aim to be that same light for others online, just as I am for the people closest to me.

As I transition into the social media space full-time, I’m excited about focusing on fashion, lifestyle, and content creation. Although it’s hard to leave my kiddos behind, I believe this is my next chapter. I’ve always loved being in front of the camera, whether for photos or videos, but lost touch with that side of myself as I grew up. College didn’t allow much time to pursue it seriously, but now I realize it’s what I should’ve been doing all along. I’m making this pivot, and I can’t wait to see what opportunities come my way as I take my content creation journey more seriously!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Prayer, resilience, and patience.

First and foremost, prayer. Building my relationship with God has been the most impactful part of my journey. The power of prayer is undeniable. The opportunities that have come my way or appeared at just the right moment are nothing short of God’s will.

Resilience is key when others don’t understand the vision. Not everyone will believe in you, support you, or appreciate what you do. It’s essential to be open to criticism, but even more important to have confidence in yourself and your purpose.

Patience is about waiting for your moment. Most success doesn’t happen overnight. Building a platform and creating content takes time. If you truly enjoy content creation and sharing your life with others, stick with it. It will all come together at the right time.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m always looking for people or brands to collaborate with! I would love to collaborate with more fashion, lifestyle, and beauty brands! As I’m growing my platforms, it is always nice to build connections with others. They can connect with me on my socials or via email!
