Jae, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Walking into a room where no one else looks or acts like you can feel pretty scary, like being the only zebra among a bunch of lions. But for me, Jae Nicole, it’s just another chance to shine and show what makes me special. I believe in being true to who I am, which means being brave, real, and super dope, no matter where I am or who I’m with. I know I’m a child of God, and that gives me the confidence to light up any room with my smile and my words.

I was made to make people feel better, to bring a bit of sunshine and hope wherever I go. So when I enter a place where I’m the only one like me, I don’t try to blend in or be quiet. I’m just me – sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, but always ready to make someone’s day a little brighter. Being real and letting the Holy Spirit guide me helps me connect with others and make a difference.

People really like it when you’re just yourself; they can tell when you’re being real and when you’re just pretending. Every time I’m the only one like me in a room, I see it as a chance to show off the amazing things God has put inside me. It’s my moment to be a light and remind everyone that being different is not just okay; it’s DOPE!

Absolutely, I’m thrilled to share my journey and the essence behind my brand with your readers. It’s been a transformative adventure, marked by growth, learning, and the privilege of empowering others. Recently, I’ve taken a significant step in my career by receiving my Master’s Life Coaching Certification and joining the incredible team at The Greater Me Consulting, led by Master Coach Jasmine Stokes. Here, I’m dedicating myself to certifying women as life coaches, equipping them with the tools and insight to make a profound impact on lives and communities. It’s an honor to be part of a movement that’s all about unlocking potential and nurturing growth.

Beyond coaching, I’m currently pouring my heart into an exciting new venture – an email marketing workshop series. This project is designed to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and their dreams, teaching them the ins and outs of effective communication. From crafting compelling email sequences and lead magnets to understanding audience engagement and key metrics, this workshop is a comprehensive guide to mastering the art of email marketing. Whether attendees are joining us in person or virtually, they’re stepping into a space where their message finds its wings. It’s an initiative that embodies everything I stand for – empowerment, creativity, and making a lasting impact.

What excites me the most about this work is the opportunity to connect with and support so many incredible individuals on their journey to success. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Absolutely, reflecting on my journey, there are three core elements that truly shaped my path: Purpose, Tenacity, and Coachability.

Purpose has been my compass. It’s more than just a mission to make money; it’s about creating a meaningful impact. When your work is driven by a genuine desire to serve and impact your audience, success naturally follows. It’s crucial for anyone starting out to find their ‘why’ beyond ‘securing the bag.’ This authenticity resonates with your audience and fosters a deeper connection.

Tenacity, for me, means embracing failure as part of the growth process. Each setback has been a lesson in disguise, a stepping stone to greater achievements. My advice? Don’t fear failure. Instead, let it be your launchpad. It’s all about how you rebound and what you learn from those moments that define your journey.

Being coachable has been transformative. No matter where you are in your journey, there’s always room to grow. Seeking guidance, being open to feedback, and continuously learning have been pivotal in staying ahead. For those just beginning, remember, a coach or mentor can offer invaluable insights to navigate your blind spots and enhance your strengths.

These three principles—Purpose, Tenacity, and Coachability—are indispensable. They’re not just strategies but a mindset that propels you forward, helping you navigate the entrepreneurial landscape with confidence and resilience.

How would you describe your ideal client?
Picture someone who’s ready to glow up, not just on the outside but from the inside out. They’re all about embracing their journey, willing to dig deep and discover their true purpose. This person, they’re hungry for growth, eager to learn, and open to transforming not just their brand but their whole self. They’re not looking for overnight success; they’re in it for the long haul, ready to put in the work and make their dreams a reality.

Now, I’m talking about someone who’s coachable, you know? Someone who listens, takes feedback like a champ, and applies it. They’re not afraid to ask questions or say, “Hey, I don’t get this. Can you help me understand?” This kind of openness, it’s gold. It means we can really get somewhere, make some magic happen together. And let’s not forget about passion. My ideal client is passionate about what they do and why they do it. They’ve got that fire in their heart for their business, their art, or whatever it is they’re bringing to the world.
