Meet Jahmir Noble

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jahmir Noble a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jahmir, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

Creativity isn’t something you wait for — it’s something you choose to cultivate, especially when life gets hard. For me, creativity has always been about finding new ways to move forward when the road gets tough. It’s in the moments of doubt, uncertainty, and even failure that I’ve learned to create something meaningful.

Growing up, I was taught to be a problem solver. Life didn’t always hand me the easiest path, but I’ve always found ways to turn challenges into opportunities to grow. I keep my creativity alive by staying curious — asking myself, “What can I learn from this?” or “How can I do this differently?” I find inspiration in the everyday moments: conversations with people I care about, observing the world around me, and reflecting on my own story.

Creativity shows up in unexpected ways. Sometimes it’s in the smallest of ideas — a new way to connect with someone, a fresh perspective on an old challenge, or simply a moment where I remind myself that progress doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s about staying open to possibility, even when it’s uncomfortable.

At my core, I’ve learned that creativity is about connection. It’s about tapping into what makes you unique and using that to bring value to the world. I stay creative by staying true to my purpose and letting my story continue to evolve — one idea, one conversation, one step forward at a time.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Jahmir Noble, and my life’s work is dedicated to empowering young people to discover their full potential and thrive in ways they never imagined possible. As the founder of iThrive, a nonprofit organization, I’m on a mission to revolutionize programming for kids, tweens, and teens. The world our youth are navigating today is more complex than ever, and it’s time we step up to provide what they truly need—a transformative blend of mental health, science, and entertainment. My goal? To reach one million children through epic, innovative programs and services that inspire, uplift, and empower.

At iThrive, we’re redefining what youth development looks like. We’re not here to follow the crowd—we’re here to lead a movement. Rooted in social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and community engagement, our programs are designed to make growth fun, interactive, and deeply meaningful. What makes iThrive stand out is that we meet young people exactly where they are, guiding them through transformative experiences that connect to their realities.

Our latest initiatives—Kids Thrive Online, Tweens Thrive Online, and Teens Thrive Online—are just the beginning. Each program is crafted to meet the unique developmental needs of its age group, offering engaging workshops that build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. Kids Thrive Online empowers children ages 6-9 to tap into their creativity and self-awareness. Tweens Thrive Online helps those pivotal ages 10-12 navigate their growing independence while fostering emotional intelligence and teamwork. And Teens Thrive Online? It’s all about preparing teens to lead, adapt, and conquer challenges with confidence and purpose. These aren’t just programs—they’re dynamic experiences that show young people how to recognize their own power and potential.

Looking ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be a monumental year for iThrive. I’m thrilled to announce the Youth Mental Health Conference, happening this May, which will be a game-changing event designed to equip young people and their families with the tools they need to navigate mental health challenges and build meaningful futures. This conference will bring together experts, inspiring workshops, and impactful discussions to create a space where mental health becomes part of the solution, not the stigma.

But my vision doesn’t stop there. At iThrive, we’re also focused on expanding our reach to underserved communities, ensuring that no child is left behind. By growing our partnerships and offering more accessible services, we’re creating a movement of resilience, growth, and possibility. With a bold goal to reach one million children, we’re showing young people everywhere that their struggles don’t define them—their courage, dreams, and growth do.

For me, iThrive is more than an organization—it’s a reflection of my own story. I’ve faced challenges that could have broken me, but I learned that resilience, creativity, and community can turn obstacles into opportunities. Those lessons are the heart of what we do at iThrive. We inspire kids, tweens, and teens to see that their struggles are just one part of their journey—and that their potential is limitless.

If there’s one thing I want readers to take away, it’s this: We all have the power to shape the future by investing in young people today. Whether through mentorship, partnerships, or just showing up, small acts can create ripples that last a lifetime. iThrive is a movement, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of something so much bigger than myself.

If you’re passionate about making an impact, I invite you to join us. Whether it’s through collaboration, volunteering, or supporting our mission, together, we can inspire the next generation to dream bigger, reach higher, and thrive brighter.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three core qualities have shaped my journey: resilience, adaptability, and empathy. Resilience taught me that challenges are inevitable, but they’re not meant to break you — they’re meant to refine you. It’s about holding onto your purpose when the world feels heavy and finding strength in knowing that even small steps move you forward. Adaptability showed me that growth doesn’t come from staying comfortable. Life will shift, people will change, and success is often found in those moments when you’re willing to pivot, evolve, and rise to meet the moment. But most importantly, empathy has reminded me that connection is everything. When we take the time to truly understand each other, we create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves. My advice? Stay rooted in your purpose, embrace change as part of your evolution, and always lead with compassion — because that’s how we leave lasting impact.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely. I’m looking to collaborate with individuals and organizations who are passionate about youth development, mental health, and creating innovative spaces where young people can thrive. I’m seeking mental health professionals, educators, community leaders, creatives, and businesses who are committed to empowering youth through trauma-informed, social-emotional learning programs that provide real impact.

I’m particularly interested in partnering with brands that want to give back to the community, professionals who can offer expertise in areas like financial literacy, technology, creative arts, or wellness, and organizations focused on equity and youth empowerment. Whether you’re a nonprofit, school, or government agency, I’d love to explore ways we can work together to build safe, supportive spaces for young people to grow and thrive.

If this resonates with you, let’s connect. Visit www.ithrivetogether.org and fill out our “Partner With Us” form. Together, we can create lasting change that impacts generations.
