Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jai Cade. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jai, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I believe my confidence was shaped by constant change. Growing up, I attended six different schools throughout elementary and high school, which meant I was always the new girl…always stepping into unfamiliar spaces around new people. Those experiences taught me early on how to adapt, hold my own, and show up as myself no matter who was in the room. That adaptability became the foundation of my confidence.
Another major influence was my upbringing. I was never told that I couldn’t do something. My mom always encouraged my ideas, no matter how big or small they were. Whether I was experimenting with doing nails, sewing clothes, or creating custom cups for family and friends, she always found a way to support me. Those early creative ventures gave me a sense of independence and ownership. That feeling of, “I can make something beautiful with my own hands and people will value it.” That’s where my entrepreneurial spirit and much of my confidence was born.
When it comes to my self-esteem, I’d say it was built internally. I spent a lot of time alone as a child, so I became my own source of validation. My imagination was my world. I was always envisioning who I wanted to become and what kind of woman I wanted to be. I think that quiet time with myself allowed me to build a strong inner voice. I didn’t rely on others to define me, and that mindset carried into my adult life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At Jaunty and Inspiring, we merge confidence, community, and beauty into one movement. My mission is to encourage women to carry their confidence within, because confidence is contagious.
Right now, my focus spans across product development, community engagement, and brand building. Whether it’s through our World Homelessness Day community event or creative brand activations like our fall campaigns and the upcoming 12 Days of Jaunty holiday campaign, every initiative is rooted in the same goal: empowering women to show up boldly and authentically.
What makes Jaunty and Inspiring different from other confidence-driven brands is that every product we create serves a dual purpose…functionality and affirmation. Each design is intentional, reminding women that confidence isn’t something you have to find; it’s something you already carry. We meet women where they are, then empower them to elevate how they see themselves., wherever life takes them!
Our community is built on the belief that confidence can be shared, and I’m building a space where that energy spreads from woman to woman.
For the year 2026, we will launch the Jaunty and Inspiring Foundation. This non-profit initiative will focus on young women, age 9 to 24, providing confidence-building workshops and mentorship programs in schools. Through our foundation, we aim to plant seeds of self-belief early, giving young women the tools to walk into any room with confidence and inspire those around them.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful qualities that shaped my journey have been emotional intelligence, tenacity, and adaptability.
Emotional intelligence came first. When you’re building something that’s rooted in people, especially a community-driven brand like mine, you have to understand energy and how people feel, what they need, and how to make them feel seen. I learned early on that leading with empathy and creating genuine connections wasn’t just good for business, it was the heartbeat of my brand. That’s what allows me to speak to women on a real level, not from a pedestal.
Then there’s tenacity. And honestly, this one’s personal. There’ve been moments where things didn’t go as planned…setbacks, delays, and even a few people who didn’t believe in the vision. But I learned how to block out the noise and stay locked in. I tell myself all the time: the only way I’ll fail is if I give up. That mindset has carried me through the toughest moments.
The last one, adaptability. Entrepreneurship has this way of testing your flexibility. One week everything’s aligned, and the next week you’re being forced to pivot. I’ve learned not to take those pivots personally; they’re part of the process. Every redirection has pushed me to evolve—whether it was creatively, strategically, or mentally.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice would be this: learn to read the room and lead with heart. Don’t let fear or outside opinions slow your movement. And most importantly, stay open. Because the path to success rarely looks like what you pictured—but if you keep your confidence, your vision, and your adaptability, you’ll always end up exactly where you’re supposed to be.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
It’s interesting, because I spent so much of my early life in isolation, in my thoughts, learning to trust my own ideas. But now I’m in a chapter where collaboration means everything to me. Jaunty and Inspiring is looking to partner with brands and individuals who share our mission — confident women on the go, travel lovers, makeup artists, corporate women, and anyone passionate about helping women feel organized and unstoppable. Whether that’s a content creator, a skincare brand, or a retail partner, we’re open to collaborating with anyone who moves with confidence and purpose. The best way to connect with us is through our social platforms or our website. We’re always looking to build with those who understand that confidence isn’t just a look — it’s a lifestyle.
