Meet Jai Imani

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jai Imani . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jai , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I Think My Work Ethic Comes From Watching My Mom NEVER Miss a Day of Work! My Mom was An Elementary School Teacher For Almost 40 Years & I Can Count on One Hand How Many Times I’ve Seen Her Call in Sick or Take a Personal Day. She Never Missed Meetings & A Lot of Times She Even Stayed Hours After to Get Things Done For The Next Day or Next Week. I Think Witnessing The Woman Who Birthed & Raised Me Work Hard Definitely Passed on to Me in My Career

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
In Addition to Being a Solo Artist, I Also Run My Own Label “Making All Creations Life” or “MACLife Records” of About 22 Artist (Rappers & Singers)/Producers & Videographers. 2025 We Plan to Release a MACLife Album (A.T.T.I.C or At The Top is Creation) Featuring All of Our Artist & Producers. In Addition I’ll Be Releasing My 22nd Album “The Art of Reflection” Sometime This Year. Be on The Lookout For Both Projects Set to Drop Under The MACLife Records Umbrella.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Leadership For Sure! Being Able to Communicate Effectively Especially When Running a Company & Being Able to Block Out The Outside Noise & Hone in On Mastering Your Craft Are Things That Helped Me Along My Journey.

Some Advice I Would Give is to PRACTICE Your Craft! Especially if you Make Music, Practice Makes Perfect!

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
