Meet Jailyn Sade

We were lucky to catch up with Jailyn Sade recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jailyn, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from my dad. He’s always been a hardworking man and a constant provider for our family. Even though our professions are different, he’s taught me the values of perseverance and dedication. I admire him for everything he’s accomplished because achieving long-term success, especially with a family depending on you, is no easy feat. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to show both of my parents that I can make my dreams a reality!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Jailyn Sade, a Nail Tech/Artist at Xo Nail Bar. I specialize in providing top-notch nail care services. Doing nails has always sparked my creativity, and that’s something I’ve always had a passion for. Whether it’s styling my clothes, working on school projects, or perfecting my nail designs, creativity has always been a part of me.

There’s never a dull moment in doing nails because, although my role remains the same, my art is always evolving. That’s what I love most about it — the constant opportunity to explore new techniques, expand my artistic boundaries, and add intricate details to my work while serving my clients.

Something exciting I have in store is enrolling in nail school! I’m on my journey to becoming a licensed nail tech, starting in May 2025. This is by far the biggest investment I’ve made in myself, and I’m so excited for what’s to come.

Stay tuned for more from Xo Nail Bar — I’m here to stay (permanently)!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three most important qualities that encourage me to continually perfect my craft are investing, practicing, and staying focused.

Investing is crucial in any field of business. Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. It demonstrates your belief in growth and taking the leap into something new, even if it’s unfamiliar. It shows commitment to your journey, even without knowing all the answers right away.

Practicing is what helps build concentration and skill. Never rush your artistry; take the time you need to refine your technique. Reflecting on your work after each session is key—acknowledge what went well and identify areas where you can improve.

Staying focused is essential for achieving precision. It ensures your designs are flawless and your client is satisfied. But most importantly, remember to have fun during the process—enjoy every step of creating beautiful nails!

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client would be someone who values creativity and a willingness to experiment with unique nail designs. They would appreciate quality service, enjoy exploring new trends, and be open to suggestions for their nail care. Whether they prefer classic looks or bold, artistic designs, my ideal client is someone who enjoys the process and trusts their nail technician’s expertise.
