Meet Jake Platt

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jake Platt. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jake, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose in life came into focus through a journey that was both challenging and deeply transformative. As a Martial Arts master and a health, life, fitness, and performance coach, I’ve always been passionate about helping others reach their full potential. But it wasn’t until I faced some serious personal and physical struggles that I truly found my calling.

It all started when I was dealing with a lower back injury that made even basic activities painful. The nights were sleepless, mainly from the pain I was going through. On top of that, I was navigating the emotional fallout from a breakup and facing some tough business challenges. These experiences forced me to take a hard look at my mindset and the way I was living my life.

I realized that, despite my extensive background in coaching and Martial Arts, my mind was often my biggest obstacle. I found myself trapped in a cycle where every step forward seemed to be met with setbacks. It was as if the consequences of past decisions were constantly pulling me back, and the stress I was under was stifling my creativity and drive.

Given my experience in coaching athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and even high-performance individuals, I knew the importance of goal-setting and discipline. But when it came to my own health—a domain influenced by a complex web of factors—I realized I needed to rethink my approach. I had to overcome my own cognitive biases and self-limiting beliefs that were holding me back.

Improving my health became the foundation for everything else. Once I started to focus on my well-being, I noticed profound changes in not just my physical health, but also in my mindset and relationships. It wasn’t an easy journey—there were times when I had to let go of old friendships, deal with social media backlash, and confront negative judgments from others. But these challenges were necessary for my growth.

As I worked through these issues, I understood the importance of clearing the mental clutter and challenging deeply ingrained thought patterns. These patterns, shaped by past experiences and societal norms, were keeping me stuck. By addressing them directly, I was able to transform my life in ways I hadn’t imagined possible.

This personal transformation became the foundation of the MORPH Method, a holistic approach to health that goes beyond just physical fitness. It incorporates mindset, nutrition, hydration, sleep, breathwork, and personal growth. Now, as the author of the MORPH Method, my purpose is to share these insights and help others navigate their own journeys to better health and a more fulfilling life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

As a Martial Arts master and a health, life, fitness, and performance coach, my work centers around empowering individuals to reach their highest potential. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding athletes, professionals, and everyday people toward transformative changes through a holistic approach to health and wellness. What excites me most about my work is seeing the profound impact that the MORPH Method has on people’s lives.

The MORPH Method, which I developed and authored, is built on six foundational pillars: Hydration, Sleep, Nutrition, Exercise, Breathwork/Meditation, and Growth Mindset. These pillars are essential for achieving optimal health and well-being. What makes the MORPH Method special is its comprehensive, integrative approach—it’s not just about physical fitness or nutrition; it’s about creating a balanced lifestyle that supports long-term health and personal growth in every aspect of life.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the transformation that occurs when people fully commit to these principles. The MORPH Method empowers them to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and achieve a sense of fulfillment that extends well beyond physical health.

Currently, I’m expanding the reach of the MORPH Method through several exciting initiatives. I’ve built a strong following on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where I share practical tips and strategies to help people apply the MORPH Method in their daily lives. This has allowed me to connect with a global audience and coach individuals from all walks of life.

I’m also working on launching a series of online courses and workshops that will dive deeper into the principles of the MORPH Method. These will offer a more personalized and interactive experience for those looking to make lasting changes in their health and well-being.

In addition, I’ve been actively pursuing speaking and podcasting engagements where I share insights on holistic health, personal development, and the power of the MORPH Method. These engagements have been a fantastic opportunity to inspire larger audiences and spread the message of sustainable transformation.

Another exciting development is that I’m currently seeking investors to help build out the technology infrastructure for a new coaching application. This app will make it easier for people to access personalized coaching and track their progress using the MORPH Method. It’s a big step forward in making holistic health coaching more accessible to everyone.

Finally, I’m in the process of building a comprehensive coaching curriculum for a MORPH Coaching certification program. This program will train other coaches in the principles and practices of the MORPH Method, allowing them to bring these transformative techniques to even more people. It’s an exciting expansion of the brand that will help build a community of like-minded coaches dedicated to holistic health and personal growth.

Overall, my work is about empowering people to take control of their health and lives in a sustainable, meaningful way. Whether through coaching, speaking, or the new initiatives I’m developing, my goal is to help as many people as possible live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back on my journey, there are three qualities and areas of knowledge that have been absolutely pivotal: resilience, a growth mindset, and the ability to adapt. These have shaped not only my personal and professional life but also the development of the MORPH Method. For those who might not be familiar, MORPH stands for Mindful, Organized, Routines, Practiced, Honestly in the six pillars of health: hydration, sleep, nutrition, exercise, breathwork/meditation, and growth mindset.

But MORPH is more than just a method—it’s a philosophy of living. It’s about embracing personal transformation as a lifelong journey. The MORPH philosophy recognizes our innate nature to grow and evolve throughout our lives. It’s a holistic approach that guides us in creating a balanced lifestyle, fostering continuous growth and evolution as we live out our lives.

First, resilience has been crucial. Life throws challenges at you, often when you least expect them. For me, it was dealing with physical injuries, emotional struggles, and the ups and downs of running a business. Resilience is about bouncing back from these setbacks, learning from them, and moving forward stronger than before. It’s a quality that has kept me going, even when the path was tough.

Second, a growth mindset has been incredibly impactful. This is the belief that your abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. Embracing a growth mindset has allowed me to see challenges not as obstacles but as opportunities to learn and improve. It’s about staying curious, being open to new experiences, and always striving to be better. This mindset was key when I was transitioning from in-person coaching to developing the MORPH Method and expanding it to a global audience.

Lastly, adaptability has been vital. The ability to adapt to new circumstances, whether it’s shifting business models, embracing new technologies, or simply changing how I approach challenges, has made all the difference. In a world that’s constantly evolving, being adaptable means you can thrive no matter what comes your way. It’s what allowed me to pivot from traditional coaching to building a digital platform and reaching people worldwide.

For those who are early in their journey, my advice is to focus on cultivating these three qualities.

To develop resilience, start by embracing challenges rather than avoiding them. When you encounter setbacks, take a step back, assess what happened, and figure out how you can use that experience to grow. Surround yourself with supportive people who encourage you to keep going, even when things get tough.

To foster a growth mindset, stay curious and be willing to step out of your comfort zone. Read widely, seek out new learning opportunities, and don’t be afraid to fail. Remember that failure is just a part of the learning process, not a reflection of your worth or potential. Keep asking yourself, “What can I learn from this?”

Finally, to improve adaptability, practice being flexible in your thinking and approach. Life rarely goes according to plan, so being able to pivot and adjust your strategy is crucial. Stay open to new ideas and technologies, and don’t get too attached to one way of doing things. The more you can adapt, the more you’ll be able to navigate the uncertainties of your journey.

These qualities—resilience, a growth mindset, and adaptability—are the foundation of not just surviving but thriving in whatever path you choose. They’ve been central to my success, and I believe they can make all the difference in your journey as well.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely, I’m always looking to partner and collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations who share the vision of transforming lives through holistic health and personal growth. At MORPH Method, we’re building something truly special, and there’s a place for everyone who wants to be a part of this journey.

I’m looking for partners who can help expand our reach and bring new ideas to the table. Investors are also key, especially those interested in helping us build out the technology infrastructure for our coaching application, which will make personalized health coaching more accessible to people around the world.

I’m also on the lookout for coaches who align with the MORPH philosophy and are passionate about guiding others in their health and wellness journeys. As we develop our MORPH Coaching certification program, there will be more opportunities for coaches to join our team and contribute to our mission.
