Jalen , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Engaging in self-care routines, believing in myself, and gaining more comfort in front of the camera. The support of my fans has been a constant source of inspiration. Their unwavering dedication and enthusiasm have fueled my passion and drive. Their kind words of encouragement, whether through social media, emails, or in-person interactions, have reminded me of the impact my work has on others. Their unwavering support has given me the confidence to continue pursuing my dreams and has made me realize the importance of using my platform to make a positive difference.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m Jalen Gage. A fashion model and content creator. I am from a small town located in central Mississippi by the name of Carthage. I never really enjoyed pictures and videos as a kid. My mom would always try to take pictures of me, but I was too shy and not so much comfortable and photogenic. Until 2022 I started gaining more confidence within myself. So now I aim to highlight the authentic essence of my content and fashion variety by utilizing my platforms to positively influence young, inspiring models, and also upcoming content creators. I’m eager to discover what 2025 has to offer since the past year was full of blessings. I was able to work with a variety of brands, which I’m thankful for, so I can only predict that this new year will be just as good.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

My three most important qualities are, maintaining discipline, consistency, and patience. Success is no accident. Hard work, discipline, consistency, learning, studying, and most importantly, love for what you’re doing are the keys to success. Stepping out of your comfort zone and staying consistent while having discipline, can lead to personal and professional growth. By embracing new challenges and opportunities, you expose yourself to new experiences, skills, and perspectives. Even if the outcome is not what you expected. You also have to realize that success takes time and that rushing or expecting immediate results can lead to frustration. By practicing patience, you have learned to trust the process and enjoy the journey.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

First I pray about it then, I take a moment to focus on the people and things that I am most grateful for. I also make a list of tasks and prioritize them by taking deep breaths, breaking larger tasks down into smaller steps, practicing mindfulness or meditation, establish boundaries, and learn to say no. It’s ok to love yourself enough to establish boundaries.
