Meet Jamarius Leeks

We were lucky to catch up with Jamarius Leeks recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jamarius, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I found my purpose in using what I’m good at to help others. I think if we live from a place of selflessness, we will create more meaningful interactions.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a singer-songwriter/music producer and a current recording engineer at Cosa Nostra Studios in Burbank,CA.

We are currently building a creative hub, whether if you are an artist, producer, videographer or creative director, we want to be able to connect the dots here in the community we are creating.

We host a monthly networking mixer, we encourage any and all creatives to join.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three things that have brought me success in what I do is dedication, consistency, and enjoyment. Find something you are passionate about and just be consistent in it. Whether it’s a hobby or a career path, Success will find you, the more you stick with it.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

Life can be overwhelming at times, especially as an entrepreneur. One thing I tend to do to help with that is taking a reset. What I mean by that is just taking some time to do nothing and clear the mind.. A lot of times we feel like if we stop even for a minute we won’t succeed, which is not true. Sometimes slowing down helps build the momentum that will propel you forward.
