Meet Jamie Lammers

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jamie Lammers. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jamie below.

Jamie, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

Ultimately, I don’t keep my creativity alive, creativity keeps me alive. I’ve realized more and more over the years, but particularly as 2025 has progressed, that expressing myself and understanding the world through art is what I feel I am the best at. I get nervous before some performances, absolutely. I often want to be a perfectionist when it comes to my art, absolutely. That being said, I love simply trying new things and seeing what happens. For a long time, I embraced the mentality of a project potentially changing my life, and now, I realize that even if a project doesn’t change my life, it still motivates me to perform, create, and share what I love most about art and inspiration.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a singer, actor, writer, and journalist who wants to jump into whatever creative ventures I possibly can. I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember, acting since 2014, and writing seriously since 2019. I ultimately majored in English on the creative writing track at CU Boulder, minored in music and cinema studies, and earned a certificate in Native and Indigenous Studies. I’ve taken the last year off from college, and right now, I’m focusing on my creative ventures, including uploading posts corresponding to daily themes on social media, writing songs and stories, and submitting my work to get it out there! For me, the most exciting thing about art is how much it affects people in so many different ways. One piece of art that touches one person can offend another, pieces that don’t resonate in one time can resonate in another, and ultimately, we all connect as humans through storytelling. Storytelling is what I love most about humanity, and I love sharing it with people as a whole.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

For me, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are dedication, excitement, and exploration. Continuing to find opportunities that you’re interested in jumping into despite other opportunities that don’t work out, finding enthusiasm for everything you jump into, and breaking out of your comfort zone one step at a time are qualities that I feel are incredibly important for anyone who wants to be creative.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am absolutely looking for any excited artists to collaborate with, whether they be musicians of any kind or writers of any kind, performers, artists, etc., I just love creating things in general and seeing what happens, so I want to take whatever opportunities I can!
