Meet Jamie Nicole

We recently connected with Jamie Nicole and have shared our conversation below.

Jamie, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Keeping creativity alive can certainly be a challenge!

I think that creativity can mean different things to different people, but, to me, I view creativity as exploration. It’s the opportunity and willingness to try new things. Creativity exists as a means to invent and pour yourself into different facets of your art/craft.

Personally, I am endlessly inspired by fellow small business owners and entrepreneurs around me! I see the energy, thought, and persistence they pour into their work, and their unique abilities shining through is always fascinating to me. It gives me a perspective of stepping back and ensuring that my work is just that – mine.

If I ever feel as though I’m getting trapped in a creative block, looking at current trends, thinking of any upcoming holidays and events, taking a stroll through our local market, and supporting other small shops are all things that help put me in a healthier creative headspace.

I think that, as long as I aim to pour a bit of myself into everything that I do, it really keeps me focused on staying creative and true to me.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Jamie Nicole and I am a baker/small business owner based out of sunny South Florida!

My shop, Sally’s Sweet Eats, was established in 2019 and relaunched after the pandemic pause in 2023. Over the course of our relaunch, we have learned and experienced so very much! From the hustle and bustle of the business and logistics side of the operation to the community and local support we’ve made along the way, it has been a wild and wonderful time, and we are so elated and thankful for every moment of it!

Our mission is to share sweet smiles to friends near and far, and to give back whenever and wherever possible. Our vegan baked goods are great for plant-based friends and anyone who just wants to satisfy their sweet tooth!

We also love to take part in fundraisers, events, and markets throughout the year.
Currently, you can find us serving goodies at the Royal Palm Beach Green Market, and we are SO thrilled to announce that we are gearing up for our next fundraiser focusing on raising funds to send to the incredible World Central Kitchen!

Further information can be found on our social media, @SallysSweetEats, but ultimately we will be aiming to raise funds for those fighting hunger in some of the most difficult and dire of circumstances.

World Central Kitchen is one of the operations currently on the ground in Gaza, Palestine, and that is a cause and location near and dear to our hearts.

We hope to see you out at the markets or saying hi on our socials! We take orders, offer pickup and deliveries, and would love to share sweet smiles with you soon.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I recognize that patience, resilience, and dedication were three important factors that led me to where I am today.

While it may seem obvious, these three traits were more important than I could even begin to attempt to put into words.

Patience and resilience have coincided in serving our business and my personal life every step of the way. Pushing forward through uncertainty and hardships, along with the understanding that consistency is critical and success doesn’t happen simply overnight, have helped to not only motivate and encourage me throughout the ups and downs of figuring out how to be a small business owner, but has also given me the strength and outlook to persist on despite difficulty.

Dedication has kept me connected to my cause.
Showing up for myself and for what I care about fills me with a purpose that is greater than myself and acts as a constant inspiration to do better and work harder.

Time and consistency have been the two biggest factors in applying these traits to my life, and giving myself grace along the way and space to appreciate the hardships and lessons learned has given me a perspective so valuable it extends into more than just my business.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We absolutely LOVE partnering with other local businesses!

Coffee shops are a definite go-to, because who doesn’t want a delicious snack or goodie with their morning pick-me-up?!

If you’re ever looking to add some sweets to your shop, whatever you may own/operate, we would love to chat with you! You can reach out to us on our socials – Instagram and Facebook are both @SallysSweetEats – or email us at SallysSweetEatsInfo@Gmail.com
