Meet Jamogi Bridges

We were lucky to catch up with Jamogi Bridges recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamogi, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I was watching this Michael Jackson inspirational video, and I remember hearing him say, “Study the greats and become greater,” and that’s when it all clicked for me. I have always aimed to be great at what I do, especially when it comes to performing. So, I would watch all these behind the scenes videos of Michael, Janet, Beyoncé, Prince, and more. I wanted to see what all it took for me to achieve greatness. The one takeaway I got, was their work ethic. These artists worked so hard on their craft, and it showed in their production, and that’s something I want: excellent work ethic. I can honestly say, it’s paying off right now. I’m thankful for the drive and passion inside of me, because if I didn’t enjoy this, I would’ve quit a long time ago.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m Jamogi, and I wear many hats – singer, songwriter, producer, and all-around creative guy. Music, for me, is like a universal language that brings people together, and it’s been my true passion since I was a little kid.

You won’t believe it, but my music journey started smack in the middle of the pandemic chaos. I scraped together every bit I had, bought my first MacBook on my student account, and dove headfirst into Logic Pro X, watching hours of YouTube tutorials to get the hang of things.

My first solo track, ‘Anymore,’ dropped back in May 2022, followed by the upbeat ‘Celebration’ in December that same year, and then my first EP, ‘Age of Aquarius,’ in March 2023.

I’m all about staying true to my own style. I love playing with different sounds and ideas, making sure my stuff stands out from the rest. Being the quirky Aquarius I am, I’m all about breaking the rules and exploring the unknown.

Oh, and the best part? Get ready for ‘CELEBRATION,’ the next EP in my ‘Age of Aquarius’ series, hitting you in 2024. It’s going to be wild, and I can’t wait to share it with you all!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
You know, I live by the three I’s: Inspire, Innovate, and Invent. These three little words have had the most profound impact on my journey. I’m always on the lookout for fresh ways to approach things, and it’s such a great feeling when people appreciate my unique approach. It really warms my heart to know that what I’m doing resonates with others.

I won’t lie, it hasn’t always been a smooth ride. Sometimes I’ve questioned whether I’m straying too far from the norm, but then I realize that’s the beauty of it. You get to call the shots and pave your own way. Take that leap of faith and give it a shot, you know?

If I had to give one piece of advice to my fellow artists out there, it would be this: find what makes you, you, and fully embrace it. We’re living in a world where so many artists seem like clones of those who’ve already made it. They mimic the flow, the talk, the whole vibe, and it just loses its authenticity. Let’s break that cycle! Put your own flavor into what you create, and let your personality shine through. That’s the real game-changer.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for people to collaborate with! We can’t do this thing alone. I always look for people who not only think outside the box, but actually put work into what they do. I perform with a band right now, called, “The Jammers.” This is the most hardworking group I’ve ever come across, and I’m so thankful to have met them. Each of them bring their own unique talents and personalities, and help bring the vision to life.

If anyone is interested in connecting with me, whether it be film, social media, booking, or really anything, all they have to do is DM me on instagram @Jamogi.Bridges.

Lets work together!
