Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jana Beckel. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jana, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I’ve had a love for photography since I was a kid, always having a camera on me. As I became an adult I navigated through the different mediums of photography and found my passion and purpose in it was capturing memories.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a portrait and event photographer. I love capturing memories. I specialize in all things Family photography and events. How I took my career from side job while I worked another full time job to a full time dream job, was a push from the universe and me having twins.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Being a perfectionist, being friendly (I know thats an odd one, I can make friends anywhere), always open to leaning more
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Being overwhelmed can help a lot during different parts of the year being a business owner and mother to littles. I take a day for myself for self care and a day with family away from everything. My husband helps me through it as well.
