Meet Jane Fresne

We recently connected with Jane Fresne and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jane, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?

Self-care has become an integral part of both my personal life and my professional practice. As a doctor, I see self-care not only as something I model for myself but also as something I actively teach my patients, empowering them to support their own healing through daily lifestyle choices. Whether I am providing a hands-on naprapathic treatment or facilitating a Zyto health scan, I integrate conversations about daily habits—food, movement, thought patterns, and intention—because these small choices build the foundation for health, resilience, and well-being.

In my own life, I prioritize consistent self-care practices that allow me to be more effective, centered, and present for my patients. Each morning, I begin with 30 minutes in an infrared sauna to support detoxification and cellular renewal. I also prepare nourishing smoothies—both a cacao-based protein smoothie and a green vegetable smoothie—to ensure I receive the essential nutrients and energy I need throughout the day. By choosing natural, low-glycemic sweeteners and organic ingredients, I reinforce my commitment to health in simple, sustainable ways. https://www.drjanefresne.com/healthy-body

Other practices that support my well-being include filtering my water and air, maintaining an 80/20 alkaline-to-acidic balance in my diet, and engaging in mindful movement such as walking. Sleep hygiene and detox practices are non-negotiables for me, as they directly influence energy, mood, and long-term health.

Equally important is the mental and emotional dimension of self-care. I use principles of neuroplasticity to consciously reframe thought patterns, choosing forgiveness, acceptance, love, and healthy boundaries. These practices not only shift my mindset but also enhance resilience, emotional regulation, and my ability to connect authentically with others. https://www.drjanefresne.com/tree-breath

Self-care, for me, is not a single action but a lifestyle—a continual process of renewal, adjustment, and growth. These practices have made me more effective by keeping me balanced, energized, and attuned, so that I can bring the same commitment to healing and wholeness to the individuals I serve.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My professional focus is on alleviating physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual pain. The very name of my profession, Naprapathy, comes from the idea of relieving suffering. At its core, naprapathy works with connective tissue alignment to support healthy nerve function, blood flow, and movement. But it also extends beyond the physical—encompassing ergonomics, activity choices, stretching, and lifestyle practices that create a foundation for lasting health.

What excites me most about my work is the integration of the macro and micro levels of well-being. On the macro level, health is about how we move, work, and live. On the micro level, it comes down to the cellular, energetic, and intentional aspects of being—what we eat, how we think, and where we place our focus. Both levels are essential to true healing.

In addition to naprapathy, I am a licensed nutritional counselor and incorporate advanced tools to deepen the healing process. I use the Zyto health scan, which employs galvanic response technology to provide a detailed snapshot of the body’s needs, both in person and virtually. I also offer Evox, an emotional reframing system that identifies missing frequencies in a client’s voice and reintroduces them through biofeedback to help release stuck patterns.

Another powerful addition to my practice is Neurofeedback, a clinically proven brain-training approach that uses neuroplasticity to help clients with PTSD, OCD, insomnia, ADHD, stroke recovery, TBI, repetitive thoughts, autism, and more. Reiki has also been a constant in my personal and professional life for over 32 years, providing a steady foundation of energy healing. Alongside this, I have apprenticed for 17 years with Peruvian shamans, gaining indigenous healing experience that continues to enrich my practice.

What makes my work special is this whole-person approach—combining science, technology, and ancient wisdom to help people return to balance and vitality. For me, it is a joy and privilege to walk with others on their healing journey.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Growing up, the centerpiece of our family table wasn’t flowers—it was a circle of vitamins, minerals, and supplements. We lived on my grandparents’ farm on the outskirts of Miami, where most of what we ate came directly from the greenhouse or the animals we raised. Conversations in our home were often spiritual in nature, so my lifestyle and focus have always had a holistic and alternative foundation. While this felt completely natural to me, I’ve also come to understand how different it can be from the pace and choices of modern life.

As an adult, I’ve dedicated my life and energy to expanding that foundation through study and practice. My training includes naprapathy, neurofeedback, Zyto/Evox, and Reiki healing. The ongoing education and experience I’ve gained in each of these areas have been invaluable, and I continue to integrate new dimensions into my work as I grow both personally and professionally.

For those just beginning their journey, my advice is to approach healing in sustainable steps. If you’re not in the midst of an acute health crisis, choose one manageable practice from each dimension—physical, mental-emotional, and spiritual—and give it time to become a natural part of your life. For example, you might start with healthier sugar alternatives, daily breathing exercises paired with an intention statement, or a guided meditation or meditative walk. Once those feel steady, gradually add new practices. In this way, change becomes integrated and lasting rather than overwhelming.

Many blessings on your journey—it is always my honor to share the background and skills I’ve gathered to support others along the way.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

Two books have been especially meaningful in my development, and together they highlight the same essential theme: communication as the foundation of connection and healing.

The first is Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg. This book was pivotal in helping me understand both how to communicate and how to be understood—something rarely taught in school or modeled in most families. Rosenberg’s method teaches us to listen for the feelings and needs beneath another person’s words and to express ourselves without blame. When practiced, this approach often softens defensiveness and opens the door to real understanding—especially powerful when both people know and use the method.

The second is Getting the Love You Want by Harville Hendrix. This book addresses how unhealed childhood and adult traumas often resurface in our relationships, creating patterns that repeat until we learn to resolve them. Hendrix provides a framework for having conversations where both people feel genuinely heard and validated. The practice guide at the end of the book makes these healing dialogues accessible and transformative.

It’s hard to overstate the impact of these approaches until you’ve experienced such conversations yourself. They foster not only healing but also deeper connection, and I continue to return to both books for guidance and growth.
