Meet Janet Constantino

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Janet Constantino a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Janet with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I feel that my work ethic came from being born into a large family with seven siblings. We were taught at a young age that we all must work together when it came to house household chores, errands, etc.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Since 2001, I have had the honor of offering both table and chair massages to many!
This learned skill has allowed me to help others feel better whether emotionally, mentally, and typically physically.
This career is like no other with many modalities to learn.
With 24 years of experience, I feel as though I can continue to learn and grow.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Following graduation from massage school in 2001, I never would have dreamed that I would have a local onsite chair massage business serving the Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia areas! My business degree helped me to bolster my confidence to start my business in 2006.
With the good fortune of meeting and partnering with other excellent therapists in my area, Corporate Massage Kneads has continued to grow over the years with new and existing clients.
I always suggest maximizing your proficiencies and hiring out those tasks that are not as strong as a business owner.
In the long run, it saves time, money, and lowers frustration.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes, I always seek “like-minded” small business owners to share stories and experiences within the wellness arena such as other massage therapists, acupuncturists, and possibly chiropractors.
Social media is an interest of mine and has helped to grow my business since taking a class in 2018.
