Hi Janie, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My journey to finding my purpose was shaped by my family’s struggles with mental health and the challenges I faced growing up. As a young teen mom, I had to navigate uncharted territory and find ways to thrive despite the odds. Through this experience, I gained a new perspective and developed resilience, determination, and a strong sense of responsibility. As a content creator, I’ve been able to share my story and connect with others who’ve faced similar challenges. What’s struck me is how many people share similar experiences and how my story can resonate with and inspire others. This realization has given me a sense of purpose – to use my platform to share my journey, offer support and encouragement, and help others see that they’re not alone. Through my content creation and managing our small business, NoFilterCosmeticsLLC, I aim to empower others and provide a voice for those who may feel marginalized or over looked. I love what I do, and I love to share others art and talent. Makeup has always been a passion of mine. I love creating makeup looks and providing tutorials to help others learn new things.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As the founder of NoFilterCosmeticsLLC, I’m passionate about creating high-quality beauty products that empower individuals to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. As a small business owner and stay-at-home mom, I’ve learned to balance my responsibilities with my entrepreneurial pursuits. Being a young teen mom and navigating the challenges of parenthood has given me a unique perspective on beauty and self-care.

What excites me most about our business is the opportunity to connect with my audience and share my passion for beauty and entrepreneurship. I’m still growing and learning, and while making sales can be a challenge, I’m committed to the process and excited for the growth that comes with it.

As a mom to, two son with special needs, I’ve learned patience, resilience, and creativity. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn, grow, and meet new people through my platform. I’m excited for what’s to come and what god has planned for me and my family. Thank you for being part of my journey!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I think the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are:

1. Resilience: As a young teen mom and entrepreneur, I’ve faced numerous challenges and setbacks. Learning to bounce back and adapt has been crucial to my success.

2. Creativity: Always striving to be original as a key aspect to creativity.

3. Authenticity: Staying true to myself and my values has been essential in building a brand that resonates with my audience. I’ve learned to embrace my uniqueness and not be afraid to show my personality.

My advice for those early in their journey would be to focus on developing these qualities in themselves. Don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things. Surround yourself with supportive people friends and family who encourage and believe in you. And most importantly, stay authentic and true to yourself – it’s what will set you apart and make your journey meaningful.
