Meet Janine Prater

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Janine Prater a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Janine , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from my love for people and being raised by my parents to “love one another as God has loved you” that’s what led me to have a giving heart to serve people and start Eternal Love Ministry.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Eternal Love Ministry offers the following services at no cost.

Spiritual Counseling
Pre-marital Counseling

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities are communication skills, compassion & empathy and patience. You must have faith in God and his Word to receive the peace you need and motivation to move forward through any life’s challenges or devastation or troubles. Daily prayer, meditation on the Word and self care is truly necessary.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Building my life on Jesus, love, knowledge and prayer helped me to go back to college at age 35 as a single mother with two daughters and pursue a double major in public relations with a 2nd area of concentration in speech & marketing. I went on to attend several strategic ministry training classes in Nebraska and Oklahoma to become an ordained and licensed clergy registered in Tulsa County and Douglas County.
