Meet Jantana

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jantana. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jantana below.

Hi Jantana, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My purpose came from a lifelong fascination with storytelling and visual language. I’ve always been inspired by how directors craft emotion through image and rhythm. That curiosity eventually led me to motion design, a space where I could combine storytelling, composition, and movement to create cinematic experiences. It became the perfect intersection between design and film, and that’s where I found my voice.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a designer and art director working in motion design for film and television. I love creating visual worlds that extend the storytelling, from main titles and trailers to campaigns and cinematic experiences. My work often sits between design and storytelling, where visuals, rhythm, and sound come together to evoke emotion.

What I find most exciting is that every project starts with a story. Whether it’s building a mood, capturing a character’s essence, or translating a film’s tone into motion, I love finding that emotional core and bringing it to life through design.

Lately, I’ve been exploring new ways to blur the line between screen and experience, combining cinematic storytelling with digital and immersive formats.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Craft. Focus on the quality of your work and your personal voice. Don’t fall into the trap of doing something just because it’s trendy. Timeless work always stands out.

Practice. There’s no shortcut. The more you create, the more you refine your instincts, taste, and confidence as a designer.

Soft skills. Collaboration is everything. Being a good communicator and a team player matters as much as creative talent. Building a strong, trusting team is where great ideas truly come to life.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

They gave me the freedom to explore. Growing up between Thailand and France, I had the privilege to travel and experience different ways of seeing the world. I’m very grateful to my parents for that openness, it taught me to stay curious and keep learning. Being in between cultures really shaped how I approach creativity. It made me want to explore different areas in my work and find connections between them
