We recently connected with Jasmin Sudduth and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmin, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
This question sticks out to me the most because one thing I can say is that no matter what you do or how good of a person you are, someone will still have something negative to say about you. It’s always been evident, but I feel like now with social media it’s way more evident. Like you can scroll through the comments on the most positive social media post and there will still be someone in there with something negative to say.
With me being a small influencer, I have learned that people are always going to have something to say about you. A lot of people are unhappy with their lives and want to make others feel their pain somehow and usually it’s directed at strangers on the internet. You just have to have thick skin and just know that at the end of the day you have to make you happy first and as long as YOU are happy that’s all that really matters.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My first love has always been fitness. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved being into sports and active. All through middle and high school, I was in volleyball, cheerleading and track. I also have 5 brothers so I didn’t have much of a choice but to be active to keep up with the boys. In college, I was actively into fitness as well but no longer on the sports side… I did do a few step shows as well and if you know..you know that’s a sport in itself. My parents always joke about how I would just bust out in lunges through the grocery aisle when I was younger, and I now randomly bust out in yoga poses at any given moment.
Now although I love fitness, I did fall off for a few years. Mainly due to getting diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about 8 years ago. I was like 25 and was honestly in probably the best shape I had ever been when I started having crazy pain but only in my joints. I went to the Doctor and she told me that it was probably due to overuse, from me working out so much. So I slowed down on the workouts to see if that helped. It did not help at all and honestly probably made it worst.
Fast forward a year, it had gotten to a point where I could hardly walk or hold my daughter who was a newborn at that time. The chronic pain honestly made me really depressed and fitness was always my outlet. I couldn’t even do that. I hardly left the house because I was so tired of people asking me why I was limping.
After a few years of failed treatments, I decided that it was time to take my life back. I have always been a gym girlie but I no longer had the confidence or time to go to the gym but those were no longer excuses that I could accept. I never liked the idea of working out at home mainly because I preferred all the machines and variety of workouts I could do.
Ironically, my Aunt had discovered this workout program on the VR and it was called Supernatural. The first time I did that, I WAS HOOKED! I had so much fun and worked up such a sweat. It gave me this feeling that I had not felt for a long time. It was a feeling that only a good workout gives me. I pretty much started doing the program every day. Then once I got into the flow, I wanted to start adding more things that I could do at home.
This is what began my home workout videos. Back in the day (omg how old haha) before influencing was a thing, I would always post my workouts and was an online coach for Beach Body. I thought about how now I could help individuals just like me with my platform. My people are busy moms who don’t have time for the whole going to the gym process. For the moms who really only have a solid hour to hour and a half total to get a workout in. I also wanted to reach individuals who needed great beginner friendly workouts that can easily be done with minimal equipment. No I am not a beginner in fitness, but I have very weak joints and have to do a lot of low impact activity. This works perfectly for beginners.
Most importantly, with my platform I can be an advocate and a voice of hope for individuals who struggle with Rheumatoid Arthritis and other autoimmune disorders that cause us to be “lazy” as some people call it. It’s so hard to live with an illness that people can’t see nor understand that you can look perfect on the outside and your entire body is in pain.
I want people like me to see that it can be done no matter what obstacles they may face. I really just want to post fitness content that inspires as many people as possible to start and remain on their health and fitness journey.
I hope that wasn’t too long !
As of right now, I don’t have anything major going on except my social media pages. I’ll list those down below in case you want to check me out there!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My top quality is going to be your mindset. Your mindset is everything. How you think and the energy you put into the atmosphere really matters. You can literally overthink yourself right into a bad mood. Have you ever wondered why one bad thing happens and the day seems to spiral. It’s usually because that bad thing happened and you let it shift you into a negative mindset so now you are only focused on the negatives that have happened during the day. Being able to stay in a positive mindset despite the negativity surrounding you is the most important thing I could ever tell anyone.
The next thing is being able to give yourself grace. No one is perfect in this world. We all have downfalls. You can’t beat yourself up every single time you mess up. It is simply not okay and will damage your mental health quicker than anyone or anything else can. You have to speak life into yourself. You can’t let what others say about you live rent free in your head. I’m not saying ignore it. Take it and learn from it but don’t let it define you. You are only what you choose to answer to.
Lastly, you have to make your peace and happiness a priority. Nothing you do in life will matter if you can’t look back and remember you being happy and at peace. You can have a million dollars and be the saddest person in the world. You need to make sure your soul is happy and at peace. I will take being poor but happy any day. Now I don’t want to be poor let’s be clear here lol but I’m just saying if you have to choose. Always choose your happiness.
All of these things matter no matter what journey you are on.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always down to collab with people! I am very much down to divide and conquer with our audiences.
I’m always here for all things home fitness, mental health, and anything to help individuals with joint mobility issues.
