Meet Jasmine Hawkins

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jasmine Hawkins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose the moment I realized that everything I had survived, everything I had endured, and everything I had been entrusted with wasn’t random; it was preparation. For years, I created quietly, served faithfully, and poured into others without fully seeing the bigger picture God was shaping. But as I grew, as a woman, a mother, and a believer; I started to understand that my gifts weren’t meant to stay small. They were meant to ignite something in others.

Becoming Her Magazine was born from that realization. It’s the space I wish I had when I was evolving through my own seasons of becoming; a space where women are seen, valued, celebrated, and reminded that their story matters. It was me choosing to honor what God placed in my hands and trusting that He would guide every step.

My purpose revealed itself through faith, through healing, and through saying “yes” to the assignment God gave me: to empower women, elevate their voices, and build something that inspires generations.

Purpose wasn’t something I found overnight, it was something God revealed as I kept walking.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I have the honor of leading a luxury lifestyle and faith-based empowerment platform designed to celebrate women evolving into the best version of themselves. What I do is so much bigger than curating stories or producing beautiful visuals; I’m building a home for women’s voices, dreams, journeys, and divine assignments.

What excites me most is watching how women transform when they finally feel seen. When they can share their truth without shrinking. When they realize their story has impact. That is the heartbeat of Becoming Her Magazine; creating a space where authenticity, faith, and ambition can coexist boldly.

Becoming Her Magazine highlights the beauty, strength, and resilience within every woman. We showcase entrepreneurs, creators, mothers, leaders, and everyday women who are becoming everything God called them to be. And now, stepping into sole ownership has opened the door for a new chapter; one that is more intentional, more aligned, and more reflective of the vision God gave me from the very beginning.

We have so many exciting things happening, including upcoming magazine issues, new contributor opportunities, publicist partnerships, expanded visibility packages, and special events designed to uplift and amplify women across the world. We’re also expanding into print, audio experiences, and resources that help women grow spiritually, personally, and professionally.

Becoming Her Magazine isn’t just a brand; it’s a movement. It’s a sanctuary for women who are evolving, rebuilding, dreaming, and becoming. And I’m honored to lead it with excellence, gratitude, and the fearlessness that comes from knowing God is guiding every step.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

When I look back on my journey; both personally and as the founder of Becoming Her Magazine, three qualities stand out as foundational: faith, resilience, and vision.

1. Faith — trusting the assignment even before it makes sense.

My greatest breakthroughs didn’t come from what I could see, but from what God whispered to my spirit. Faith taught me to keep building even when the path wasn’t clear, and to trust that the gift He placed in me was meant to serve others.

My advice: Make faith your foundation. Pray over your ideas, your partnerships, and your direction. Don’t rush what God is developing in you; alignment is more important than speed.

2. Resilience — the ability to rise, rebuild, and refine.

There were seasons where I had to carry the vision alone, seasons where I had to fight through doubt or disappointment, and seasons where I had to start again. Resilience kept me focused on the assignment, not the obstacle.

My advice: Don’t fear the challenges; they’re shaping you. Learn to pivot with grace, protect your peace, and understand that closed doors are often divine protection.

3. Vision — seeing beyond the moment and into the legacy.

Becoming Her Magazine started as a spark; an idea to celebrate women becoming the best version of themselves. But vision allowed me to see where it could go. Vision helps you hold on when others don’t understand yet.

My advice: Get clear on your “why.” Write it down. Build for the woman you’re becoming, not just the season you’re in. And surround yourself with people who honor the vision, not those who drain it.

For anyone early in their journey: give yourself permission to grow. Don’t wait for perfect timing, perfect resources, or perfect confidence. Start where you are, stay rooted in who God called you to be, and remember; becoming is a process, not a destination. You are allowed to evolve, to learn, and to rise. And your story, even in its early chapters, is already powerful.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely. Becoming Her Magazine is entering a new and intentional chapter; one rooted in faith, excellence, and the mission to elevate women’s stories on a global scale. As I step fully into sole ownership, collaboration has become one of the most beautiful parts of this journey. I’m looking to partner with individuals and organizations who share a heart for storytelling, empowerment, and purpose-driven impact.

We welcome collaborations with publicists, authors, entrepreneurs, photographers, creatives, faith-based leaders, and brands who understand the importance of visibility and representation. If you believe in amplifying women’s voices, building community, and honoring authenticity, then we are aligned.

I’m especially open to partnerships that expand our reach; media collaborations, sponsor opportunities, event features, creative projects, and initiatives that serve women spiritually, professionally, and personally.

If you’re reading this and feel connected to our mission, I’d love to hear from you. You can reach me and the team at [email protected] or connect with us through our website at www.becominghermagazine.com.

This is more than a magazine; it’s a movement. And we’re building it with people who value purpose, integrity, and the power of what women can become when their stories are seen.
