Meet Jasmine Sidibe

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jasmine Sidibe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jasmine, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
The truth is there will allways be haters and nay-sayers out there. I have accepted that it is part of the reality and I keep my distance when I spot them. I think my passion always makes me keep on going because I have so much fun. The truth is everyone who is out there and try something will for sure deal with haters and nay-sayers. So I just accept the reality as it is and focus on the positive and stay close to people who like to see me grow and be happy.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Jasmine and I am a mixed model with orgins from Sweden and Guinea. I work as model, airhostess and creator. I have a blog where I write about my love for travel and wellness and I also give different travel and wellness advice. I love to create in different ways. Photograph, write and sing for example.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Courage: Having courage is very important. Feel the fear but do it anyway. Dare to fail and dare to try – that is the only way if you want to follow a dream. Sometimes we are so affraid of failing that we don´t even dare to try. Looking back on my life I can spot those moments when I feelt scared but I did it anyway and that is where I grew and achieved the most.

Work ethic: Nothing worth having comes easy. People who work harder seems to have more luck they say – therefore allways but in the work and don´t expect it to be easy all the time. There are no shortcuts – and beeing mentally prepared for that will help alot.

Adaptability: Life is always changing. We as humans are changing. Things around us are changing. I think it is very important to be openminded and not so attached to belongings or circumstances. Cause the reality is nothing last forever. To have a adaptable mindset have helped me trough challenging times and also to be able to let go and try something else wich also have opened more doors in life.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
2023 was the year that everything started to go up again and doors started to open more again. I am glad and grateful that so many opportunities did come. I had many amazing travels and exiting shootings. I also got reminded once again that nothing last forever – so we have to live now while we are here and do the things we aim to do. The last 12 mounths I have come closer to who I am and what I want out of life – that is a great improvement with clarity.
