Meet Jason Kozma

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jason Kozma. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jason, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My grandfather. He was a successful entrepreneur.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
About my training style: I’m what you would call a high-intensity trainer. I push my clients to excel. The goal is to improve each and every session. It is not enough for me
just to give a good workout but to make progress towards a specific goal. This is the
reason why I get superior results to other trainers. Training with me is extremely
rigorous and grueling. I take pride in that fact. I push my clients to reach their absolute potential. There are no easy or light days training with me. Each workout is an
exploration of the limits of the human body. I may sound like a tyrant, but people must
like it because I’ve been booked solid for a long time. Part of the reason why I push my
clients so hard is that I have a tremendous ego – which applies not only to me and my
training and look but also to my client’s abilities and progress. When I train a client my ultimate goal is to create a body that makes people stop, turn around, and take notice.
It’s not just weight loss: it is the sculpting of the human form. I believe that with enough
time dedication and hard work anybody can create not just a good body, but a spectacular one. My clients deserve nothing less.
I believe that each body is unique, and different bodies require different types of training.
Each client gets a customized workout program specifically designed to help them reach their goals. I do not provide “cookie cutter” training. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another. I have an experienced eye and I know how to choose the right exercises to do.

Nicknames (given by clients): Drill sergeant, Stalin, Bastard (behind my back), Sir.

My clients enjoy not only the very best in personal training instruction, but they are also treated to hear some of the best Schwarzenegger impressions to help push them through their session. “Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentation of their women” “It’s not a tumor!” “I lied!” “Look mama, at my girly arms!” are some of the things my clients hear on a daily basis.

What kind of people have I worked with? Most of my business can be divided into
three groups: weight loss, muscle gain, or sports training. Training for these different
purposes requires different approaches. And I’m proficient in all of them. I can take any
body and make it lose fat, gain muscle, and/or perform better.

About nutrition: Nutrition is the most important part of the client’s regimen. Nutrition accounts for 80 percent of the results that the client wishes to obtain (especially when relating to weight loss or gain). I create a custom-designed diet for each and every client and monitor their progress on weekly basis. In order to lose weight one must follow a very strict diet. This is why so many people fail to lose weight. The good news is my diets always work when followed.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My drive to succeed My knowledge of weight training and nutrition
My computer / internet skills in developing my early websites

Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
I believe it’s most effective to nurture your strengths rather than try to improve your weaknesses. You can always outsource help in areas in which you might be weak.
Your strengths are what makes you exceptional. At least I believe this is true for me.
For example, I never learned how to use photoshop. If I need graphics made, I got to Fiverr.
