We recently connected with Jason Melim and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I took on a new purpose 7 years ago when my daughter was born. I think having a kid changes your life no matter what, but we took on an active roll in bettering an environment that we wanted her to grow up in.
We’re big believers in “if you see it you can be it” and that has definitely shaped our involvement in women’s sports. We are regular attendees at multiple sports as well as financial contributors and it is ultimately what led to creating our Agency oppHERtunity.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m fortunate to have two professional passions that both revolve around helping people grow — one in real estate and one in sports.
By day, I’m a Title Sales Manager with Lawyers Title, the top-ranked title insurance company in the nation. I’ve spent my career helping real estate agents and lenders in San Diego close transactions smoothly, build their business strategically, and strengthen their referral networks. What I love most about this industry is that relationships truly drive results — every deal represents trust, consistency, and collaboration.
Outside of real estate, I’m the founder of OppHERtunity, a San Diego-based NIL (Name, Image & Likeness) agency that empowers female college athletes to connect with local businesses for brand partnerships. Our focus is on micro- and nano-influencers — athletes with smaller followings but powerful engagement and authentic community connections. We believe these women represent the future of marketing because they move the needle where it matters: locally.
What excites me most is seeing how both of my worlds overlap — relationship-driven business growth. In title, it’s helping agents grow their business; in NIL, it’s helping athletes and small businesses grow together.
OppHERtunity recently expanded its membership program for local businesses, creating a simple way for them to support women’s sports while gaining real marketing exposure. We’re also building long-term partnerships with college programs and youth organizations to ensure this momentum continues to build from the ground up.
At the end of the day, my mission is the same across everything I do: connect people, create opportunity, and help others win.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are consistency, curiosity, and connection.
Consistency is everything. Whether it’s following up with a real estate agent after a closing, showing up at a community event, or staying visible on social media — success in sales and business isn’t built on big moments, it’s built on the small things you do every day. For anyone early in their career, I’d say focus less on instant results and more on mastering the habit of showing up.
Curiosity has also been a huge driver. The markets, marketing tools, and even the ways people connect are always changing. Staying curious keeps you adaptable and open to new ideas — whether that’s learning how AI can make your workflow smarter or understanding the psychology behind why people buy or engage.
And finally, connection — the ability to genuinely build relationships. Every big opportunity I’ve had started with a conversation, not a transaction. Learn to listen more than you talk, find ways to provide value, and make people feel seen. That applies whether you’re working with a homebuyer, a small business owner, or a student athlete trying to build her brand.
If you can build those three muscles — consistency, curiosity, and connection — you’ll naturally keep growing, no matter what industry you’re in.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m always looking to collaborate with individuals interested in women’s sports. Especially if you are a small business that wants to grow while supporting young female athletes. And if you love b2b sales and women’s sports is a passion, I’d love to chat about income opportunities for you
