Meet Jason Steiner

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jason Steiner. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jason below.

Jason, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

Growing up on a farm teaches you work ethic. Up in the morning to care for the animals and making sure they had everything they needed. Then joining the Marine Corps. Definitely teaches you work ethic. At 22 years old I started my own business doing flooring and with a business you have to grow it, work ethic is a must!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

HEROSTOCK is my passion. This was started in a veterans shop as a one night one off event. After the event and seeing how people reacted made me quickly realize it was something special. We started the nonprofit in 2023 as well as hosted our “first” event under the name HEROSTOCK. I searched the internet to find veteran or First Responder podcasts and started down that road to spread the word. In 7 months I did around 25 podcasts and like 40 episodes. We held our event Sept 9th 2023 in Ashland NE. At this event we had over 1000 heroes and family show up, 16 states came in, and 44 nonprofit vendors to the local area were there to show what resources are available to our heroes. Since our first event we have been asked to do this in 31 different states. 2024 we have expanded out of the state of Nebraska. June 29th is our kickoff in Rolla MO, Aug 3rd we are going to Lebanon TN, and Sept 13-14 We are hosting our first ever 2 day event in Ashland NE. All the events are family friendly and we provide stuff for the whole family to do.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Work ethic is probably one of my best skills. I see something that needs to be done and just drop my head and push till it’s finished. Honesty and being real has also been huge in the success of HEROSTOCK. We follow thru with what we say and are open and honest about what our mission is. The best piece of advice I can give is if you have a passion for something is never quit pushing forward. There are rewards as you grind thru the hard times.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

We are always looking for groups or individuals to partner or collaborate with! This is a huge part of what I believe with nonprofits. No one nonprofit is the do all say all. If we work together and can provide support in many different avenues we can impact more people! We are looking for anyone that is looking to provide support for our military, veterans, first responders, and Gold Star Families. On our website www.herostock.org we have a contact button that will send a email directly to our team members.
