Meet Jataun Gilbert

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jataun Gilbert. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jataun below.

Hi Jataun , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My parents and my family, I know how hard my mom and dad worked to give me and my brothers the life and opportunities that we have today and I believe that the absolute least I can do is give back to my parents and show them a way of living they haven’t yet experienced. I owe my family everything and I plan on getting it for them! I work hard so they wont have to!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Absolutely love living life. I am now a ghost hunter with two of my bestfriends and we travel around the country checking out abandoned and scary places and learning history in the process! I have been acting as well full time for the last 4 years and I am finally seeing some of the fruits from my labor but Im yet still so far away from where I need to be! Loving life and taking everything as it comes has been my secret to living as the best version of myself every day!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Drive, Determination and Love. All of these traits/Skills were instilled in me as a kid and Im so glad that they have blossomed over the years. My drive to become better every day causes me to go the extra mile over and over again! The determination is what keeps my head high during hard times, and trust me there are many hard times! Most importantly love… Love for the craft and love for those around me causes the things I do to be genuine and with good merit and purpose.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

Beating myself up thinking that Im not doing enough. Although its not completely bad sometimes its good to slow down and look back on what you’ve accomplished and how far you’ve came!
