Javaughn , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I can’t necessarily say I found my purpose. I would have to say my purpose found me. As a young kid I would go to work with my dad often. In doing so throughout the years, I developed a love in the field of construction. It was a field that just seemed natural for me to maneuver through. I was able to grasp concepts and ideas fairly quickly. I also found it easy to make positive connections in this field, but mostly importantly, I enjoy working with my hands and building things.

Well, my name is Javaughn Johnson. I am a husband and a father of 3 boys. I own my own company. Which is named after me. I have been in the field of construction since I was a young boy. My company Javaughn Johnson and Son’s has over 18 years of experience in the Construction Industry. The core of our business is offering services in terms of concrete, block, brick, demolition, and dirt. We are equipped to handle the smallest to the largest projects. As a multiple trade construction company, we value our ability to work smoothly and closely with contractors, clients and other subcontractors to achieve a mutual benefit. With an intimate knowledge and extensive experience in this field we pride ourselves on integrity and honesty. Our goal is to create a solid foundation. This way my son’s will have a healthy future to continue to grow and develop the business.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A skill that has definitely impacted my journey. I would have to say is being able to be a problem solver. Challenges will arise daily, and it’s is important to know how to solve problems effectively and efficiently. Conflict resolution is key. Communication and reliability have also been a key component throughout my journey. Learning to communicate early on helps to creates a better working environment. It builds a more positive repour with your clients and employees. It’s essential for small business growth and stability. Not being reliable causes damage to your business and leave customers unhappy.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I would have to say my wife has been an essential part of the helping me develop and build my company.
