Meet JAVOSSKI REMBERT

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful JAVOSSKI REMBERT. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with JAVOSSKI below.

JAVOSSKI, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

My confidence and self-esteem come from real-life experiences. After surviving a car accident that could have left me lifeless or paralyzed, having gratitude for my life is what helped build my confidence and self-esteem. The fact that God wasn’t finished with my life made me more confident. I realized, it wasn’t my time, and there was still work to be done. The car accident could have been one of the best things to happen to me. During the process of my life falling apart it was actually coming together. As I was rebuilding, I realized who I was and who I had become, and I no longer wanted to be that person. I started running towards the things I once ran from and as I conquered my fears my confidence and self-esteem grew. My life changed once I stopped doubting myself and started believing in myself. Belief plays a major role when it comes to confidence and self-esteem, and once I realized that I knew I could achieve anything I put my mind too. I no longer look to others for conformation; God’s conformation is all I need.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

During the day I work as an Inpatient coder for Pipeline Healthcare, this month makes my 15th year being with the company. I started my online business 9 years ago, November 2016. My first pop-up was at Harbor College swap-meet, I’ve popped-up at the Roadium in Torrance, Melrose trading post at Fairfax Highschool, Melanin market at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall, Santa Fe Springs swap-meet and for the last 3 years I’ve been inside (MY BBB) located in the historic Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall. The most recent pop-up I’ve done has been BMF (Black Market Flea). I’ve done 3 pop-ups at their location this year and hopefully looking forward to my 4th on October 25th. I was recently invited to do a pop-up collaboration with Locafella Loc Studio; this will be my first time hosting my own event since I’ve been in business. Wish me luck!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Consistency is key, even when business is slow, you must push forward. Stay creative, network, network, network. Make sure you speak for yourself versus waiting for others to speak highly of you or your brand. Avoid turning down business opportunities because you’re afraid or feeling unprepared. Learn to figure it out as you go, maximize all your business opportunities. Stay away from businesses that does not align with your beliefs or business values. Don’t be afraid to walk alone on your business journey, you’ll find your tribe along the way. What you represent and how you represent yourself can make you or break you in business.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

My biggest area of growth this year has been allowing others to make their own decisions without my involvement. We’re all grown, and grown people make grown decisions. By nature, I am a caring person who like to help others when I can but I’m learning to mind my own business. If someone needs my help, I’m sure they’ll ask. I’m no longer assuming they need my help when I’m on the outside looking in. Also, I don’t want to slow down anyone’s learning process trying to save the day. Life itself is the best teacher.
