Jaxson, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Hi! My name is Jaxson Tackett and I am a musician. I have been playing drums for about 16 years and have been in multiple bands since I was 13. I am now full time in the band, Outsider Heart. Music has been a part of my life since I was little. Growing up in a household full of metal-heads and hip-hop producers really shaped my taste in music and even my lifestyle.
The rush of performing fuels my passion for creating and it’s a constant reminder of why I do what I do. I have no plans on stopping even if I reach my goals. I’m planning to shoot for the stars.
My band Outsider Heart is a family. It is a collective of five members who plan to dominate the scene. Doug, Kovy, Jeffery, Jonah, and Jaxson. REMEMBER THESE NAMES! 2025 will be the year of Outsider Heart.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Being ambitious, dedicated and inspired. Being surrounded by such talented people has definitely rubbed off of me and has shaped me into who I am today.
My main piece of advice to those who are trying to get out there:
Keep your head down and grind. Nothing is going to be given to you. You have to earn your stripes and work for it. Nothing ever comes easy. If you get knocked down, get up and keep at it. YOU GOT THIS!!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’m going to shoot for the stars and say Bring Me The Horizon and Stray Kids.
BMTH has played such a big role in my life and they’ve always been there for me whenever I am feeling some type of way. Collaborating with them would be a dream come true. Amazing people and amazing artists.
Stray Kids have come into my life in recent years. I’ll admit, I was a K-Pop hater when I was younger, but as I got older and started to experiment with different genres, I knew I was missing out. This group of complete ace’s would be sick to collaborate with. Their story is so inspiring. Knowing that they are self made makes me even more motivated to get at it!
