We recently connected with Jay AlreadyFamous and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jay, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I got my work ethic from not being able to sleep past 8:00am in my mother’s house. Growing up my mother always told me as long as I’m living in her house that I could not sleep past 8:00am. So I developed a mindset feeling like if I wake up early it’s always money to be made and finding something productive to do. I enjoy seeing the results of my hardwork. I just happen to choose a career/job description that makes work fun.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am the CEO of the AlreadyFamous Brand. AlreadyFamous means we’re all famous for someone no matter who you are and what you do. Back in 2015 I created a platform to allow others to have a voice. You don’t have to be rich or on television to be considered famous.
As the brand continued to grow we also have the AlreadyFamous family which consists of so many individuals especially those on my tiktok livestream platform where we allow each other to have a voice and a safe space to express ourselves. We got each others back. Some of the amazing people include people like “Tony Love, OneStopChop, MzParker, Brownsugar, Sheila” and many more
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My greatest skills growing up was basketball and my love for meeting/networking with people. Basketball always put me in a space to put me in a spotlight to get people’s attention. The fact that I love talking and meeting new people is a bonus.
My greatest advice is to find something you love to do, don’t allow anyone to tell you that you have a time frame on what you love to do and always be consistent. From time to time take breaks but never lose focus. There will be good days and bad days, but you are the author of your life
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Jason Hunter: Helped me not give up Acting and got me out of my shell at 23 years old
Lamar wright: Showed me how to into certain rooms and get to the money
OneStopChop: Helped me push my other social media platforms and not just be dependent on one which made the AlreadyFamous Brand more greater in 2023
Huong: Has helped me get more close to big brands and work with them
Overall there are so many people that I could not name and I truly appreciate all that has helped me get this far. This is just the ones that have played a major role in being “Jay AlreadyFamous”
