We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jay Brown. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jay below.
Jay, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I come from a long line of addiction and chronic illness—heart disease, diabetes, cancer. But I refused to be just another statistic. Instead of surrendering to my genetics, I chose to rise above them. I’ve dedicated my life to understanding health, fitness, and wellness so I can build a life rooted in longevity, vitality, and strength. My purpose was born from that decision—to break the cycle and become the example my family never had.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
At Limitless Fit, we help people rebuild their bodies from the ground up—restoring movement, building strength, and creating long-term vitality. What makes me different is my fusion of science-based training, primal movement, and a deep respect for each person’s story. Whether you’re coming back from injury, chasing longevity, or leveling up your athleticism, I train for real life—not just reps.
What’s exciting right now? We’re expanding our Pathfinder Transformation Program; I host a monthly “Netflex” networking workout, and launching my new nutrition coaching based on longevity science. Everything I do is about one thing: helping people become Built for Life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, the three qualities that shaped my journey the most were:
1. Resilience – I had to unlearn survival mode and rebuild my life with discipline and faith. Resilience wasn’t just about bouncing back—it was about standing firm when everything in me wanted to fold. I developed this through movement, prayer, and staying around people who saw more in me than I saw in myself.
2. Curiosity – I didn’t just want to get fit—I wanted to understand why things worked. That hunger led me to study anatomy, longevity, movement science, and behavior change. If you’re just starting, stay curious. Ask questions. Don’t settle for surface-level knowledge—dig deeper and learn how your body actually works.
3. Service – My life changed when I stopped chasing results for me and started seeing my health as a way to serve others. That mindset shift brought purpose, and purpose gave me staying power.
Advice?
Start with small, consistent actions. Learn from people ahead of you, stay humble, and remember—this isn’t just about how you look. It’s about who you’re becoming. Be patient. Be present. And whatever you do, don’t quit—you’re not just building a body, you’re building a legacy.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Sean Herman—Owner and Head Coach of Musou Movement— has impacted me tremendously in the areas of resilience in overcoming adversity. He is a mentor and Muay Thai/Boxing Coach and the perfect embodiment of intuitive leadership. Martial arts has been essential for my personal development and Sean continues to play an integral role in my journey.
