Meet Jay Pezz

We were lucky to catch up with Jay Pezz recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
It took me along time to fully grasp and understand this concept. I could never put my head around the idea of people not wanting others to win. Once I truly recognized where hate comes from (always below), it’s my fuel. I’ve always wanted everyone to win. Always trying to instill winning in others. Knowing where my heart is, sometimes you just have to show them. Your people will always find you.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
When I started Tracey after she had passed away. I wanted her name to live on but I’m realizing the depth in honoring her. Even when she was dying she didn’t complain. Tracey the brand is about becoming who you need to be. About fighting victimhood. About just getting it done and to inspire others to get it done along the way however you need to while your still above ground.

Late September 23’ we will be opening our 1st retail location 7992 Santa Monica blvd in West Hollywood.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
We all have a little tiny voice that talks and shows you who you are supposed to be. The key is to listen to it and not question it. You have to be true to yourself. You have all the answers and god has given you all the preparation you need. If your still going through it, your still being prepared. Don’t run from you

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I’m truly grateful for all the people god has given me along this journey. Some come, some go and I am blessed. I hope everyone makes it out.

I would like to mention Sheryl Matheu the owner of my sons preschool. I appreciate everyone deeply in and around my life but I wanted to give her some love. She lost her husband as well and I’m so thankful she has raised so many children through her school because she is beautiful soul. Much love
