Hi Jay, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I believe I get my resilience from #1 God but also the fact that I know it’s always light at the end of the tunnel and so far anything that I have ever went through it was only temporary never final!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am an artist and also content creator that goes by the name of JayRose. I think what I do is exciting because I believe this is my purpose and it allows me to be creative in every aspect. If you like hiphop/rap music that’s melodic like Lil Baby, Gunna, Yfn Lucci, Derez Deshon, etc I think you will like my music because I rap about my life and what I’ve been through. Not only do I talk about what I’ve been through i manifest what I want to go through! I’ve dropped 3 projects so far and my latest project is my album called “All On Me” that I dropped in May that has 14 bangers. You can find it on all platforms.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I think the 3 skills/qualities you have to possess if you want to do music/content creation is:

1. Learning the business
2. Always be authentic
3. Stay consistent

I will even add two more
-Don’t be scared to collaborate
-Believe and invest in yourself!!!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m down with connecting/collaborating with anybody who wants to collaborate with me if it makes sense tbh. I want to work with people who make music like I do, listen to the type of music I do, and make content like I do.
