Meet Jayadi

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jayadi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jayadi, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I get my work ethic from studying the greats artists like Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, D’Angelo, Bruno Mars, and others who’ve built their legacy through obsession and discipline. I used to spend hours watching their performances, reading interviews, and studying how they worked behind the scenes. Over time, that became my blueprint. I still do it today constantly researching, learning, and applying what I find to my own creative process. It reminds me that excellence isn’t an act, it’s a habit.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

It all started with being exposed to music from the 70s and 80s. My dad used to play records and sometimes pick up his guitar to play along. That sparked something in me. A few years later, around age 11, I started learning guitar and piano, and that naturally led me into producing music on my computer, just experimenting and figuring things out by ear.

In high school, I met my close friend and fellow artist Corby, and we started creating songs together and posting them on SoundCloud. After university, we decided to take things more seriously, approaching it from both a creative and business perspective with the support of Vincent Jaspa and KhuJenga Music Management. It’s been a great journey so far, full of growth, lessons, and a lot of experimentation.

What excites me most about what I do is the freedom to express my ideas through sound. I love being in the studio, trying new things, even failing and trying again, because that process always leads to something honest.

Recently, I released a joint single with Corby and TheGaBrit called Carry My Soul II, which was received really well. We’re building on that momentum as I prepare to release my debut EP, Echoes of Eden, a five track project that marks the beginning of my artistic journey and everything I stand for as an artist.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I’d say the three most impactful qualities in my journey so far have been curiosity, consistency, and collaboration.

Curiosity is what started everything for me. I’ve always wanted to understand how things work, whether it’s how Michael Jackson built a record or how The Weeknd shaped a sound. That constant urge to study, watch, and learn is what helped me grow early on. For anyone starting out, I’d say never lose that hunger to explore. The more you study, the more you find your own way of doing things.

Consistency is what turns ideas into real progress. There were times I didn’t feel inspired, but showing up anyway, practicing, producing, writing, is what built my foundation. My advice is to build small, steady habits. Even a little progress every day adds up.

And lastly, collaboration changed everything. Working with my close friend Corby and my team taught me that growth multiplies when you’re around people who share the same fire. For anyone just starting out, find people who challenge and inspire you. It’s one of the best ways to grow both as an artist and as a person.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, absolutely. I’m always open to collaborating with people who create from a place of honesty and intention. I’m especially drawn to artists, producers, filmmakers, and designers who care about storytelling and emotion, people who see art as a way to connect deeper, not just to make noise.

I love working with creatives who bring their own world into the process, who aren’t afraid to experiment, get weird, or make something that feels different. Whether it’s music, visuals, or creative direction, I’m always looking for collaborators who understand the balance between vulnerability and vision.

Anyone interested in connecting can reach out through my collective, LVE, or through KhuJenga Music Management. I’m always open to building something meaningful with the right energy.
