Jayde “Scooby”, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Keeping creativity alive is a perpetual journey, a commitment to constantly seek new horizons of imagination. For me, the key lies in traveling the world, embracing different cultures and landscapes that paint the world. Traveling serves as a wellspring of fresh perspectives, a tapestry of colors, textures, and stories waiting to be captured through my lens. Yet, it’s not just the places, but the people encountered along the way that breathe life into my creativity. Mingling with fellow photographers, filmmakers, locals at a foreign destination, and travelers fosters an exchange of ideas, a dance of inspiration that fuels my own artistic fire. Their unique visions and tales weave together, forming an intricate mosaic of influence that shapes my craft. With every shutter click, and new trip I find myself inspired by the world’s vast canvas and the stories it yearns to tell.

I am a multi-faceted creative, encompassing roles as a photographer, film producer, blogger, and global explorer. At the heart of my creative endeavors are my distinctive brands: Caerus Multimedia, an innovative film and photography company, and Catching Caerus, a dynamic travel brand. My journey as a traveler ignited at a young age of six, marked by an upbringing in a military family that orchestrated our constant relocations between the United States and German duty stations. My fascination with the cinematic realm flourished early on, nurtured by the cinematic companionship shared with my mother. This curiosity drove me to unravel the intricate layers of the filmmaking process, sparking my involvement and curiosity in video production classes during my high school years in Germany. My evolution continued with an enriching internship at AFN Bavaria The Eagle, where I gained insights into radio advertising and the craft of commercial filmmaking.

Upon relocating to Texas during my twenties, I purchased my first DSLR camera and embarked on filming music videos and curating photoshoots for local talents. This propelled me into the realm of a contracted film producer for PRMTD, an artist marketing company that curated showcases and live events in Austin, Texas. My artistic journey culminated in a triumphant entry into the 2020 film festival circuit, where my produced music videos earned accolades, a deeply gratifying testament to my dedication and talent.

Beyond these accomplishments, my insatiable wanderlust has led me to capture the essence of nature’s beauty and diverse cultures through my lens. This footage finds its home in revered stock platforms like Pond 5, Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, and Blackbox. My global sojourns offer me the privilege of savoring varied countries, cuisines, and landscapes, crafting an intimate connection with the world that has been an unwavering facet of my existence since childhood. Recently I have gained a new found love for solo traveling, and I encourage any one who is sitting on the fence about taking that trip alone to just do it. There is so much beauty in the world, and so many different perspectives, cultures, and delicious foods out there to enjoy.

Concurrently, my passion for travel remains, inspiring me to traverse uncharted territories and translate these experiences into captivating videos and compelling blogs. In my dynamic journey as a photographer, film producer, blogger, and globetrotter, I hold firm to the belief that three indispensable qualities pave the path to success: effective communication, unwavering dedication, and relentless hard work. These attributes serve as the cornerstone of my pursuit, not only fostering my entrepreneurial spirit but also nurturing the soul of an artist.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Without a doubt, the most profound influencers in my journey have been my parents. Though they may not be aware of it, their life choices have been a guiding light for me. As I previously mentioned, the simplest moments spent with my mother, such as watching movies together, kindled an unbreakable bond with the art of photography and film making. This ignited a passion within me, propelling me towards capturing the essence of people and places through the lens.

Equally impactful was my father’s military background, which bestowed upon me a unique vantage point. Through his service, I learned to view the world as an extraordinary teacher, unveiling a universe of opportunities. Immersing myself in diverse cultures, languages, and landscapes reshaped my perspective, reframing life and humanity in a new light. This journey expanded the avenues through which I connect with individuals who differ in appearance, language, and outlook, affirming that our differences are bridges, not barriers.
