Meet Jazmin Mercado

We were lucky to catch up with Jazmin Mercado recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jazmin, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I was lucky in a way. I found my purpose by accident.

Right out of high school, I started working at a photography studio. I didn’t have a blueprint or a five-year plan. I just knew I loved creating and had ideas. I started pitching marketing strategies, and before long, I was renting equipment and photographing nightlife events. Without even realizing it, I had stepped into entrepreneurship.

That experience led me into e-commerce. I combined what I knew—photography, design, and storytelling, and naturally found myself in marketing. Freelance gigs started coming, and I wasn’t just working anymore. I was building something real.

For the past 13 years, I’ve kept going. Not because it was the plan, but because I couldn’t walk away from the challenge and creativity. I kept learning, kept evolving, and kept betting on myself.

I’ve made mistakes, taken risks, and figured things out as I went. I’ve launched and scaled multiple 7 and 8 figure brands, not because I had it all figured out, but because I kept trying again.

My purpose didn’t arrive with a title. It revealed itself through action and persistence.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a multi-passionate entrepreneur who believes you don’t have to choose just one lane to be successful. Over the years, I’ve built multiple businesses from the ground up including an e-commerce brand, a brand management agency, a wellness product line, and a cabin rental property. I also serve as the COO of the LTTA platform and app, which brings real conversations and resources to women on a journey of personal growth and purpose.

Outside of business, I’m deeply committed to creativity and movement. Aerial arts have become one of my favorite forms of expression and self-discipline. It’s helped me stay grounded and connected to myself while managing so many different projects.

What excites me most about what I do is the freedom to create, evolve, and build spaces that reflect both who I am and who I’m becoming. Right now, I’m focused on launching new courses, expanding the LTTA community through the app, and continuing to help others bring their visions to life through consulting and collaboration.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The first quality that changed everything for me was doing it scared. I didn’t wait until I felt fully ready or confident. I just took the first step, even when I couldn’t see the entire path. That courage built momentum, and that momentum built results.

Second is adaptability. Business and life are constantly shifting, and being able to pivot, learn quickly, and adjust without letting fear take over has kept me moving forward no matter the obstacle.

The third is self-trust. There will be moments when no one understands your vision but you. Learning to listen to my gut and back myself—even when things were uncertain—gave me the strength to keep building.

My advice to anyone early in their journey is simple: start before you’re ready, stay open to learning, and build trust with yourself through consistent action.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

This past year, my biggest area of growth has been learning how to slow down without feeling guilty. I’ve been working on it for a few years, but recently, it started to feel more seamless—almost effortless. It became less of something I had to force and more of something I naturally allowed.

I used to tie my worth to how much I was doing, how many things I could juggle, and how productive I could be. But that pace eventually caught up to me. I realized rest is not the opposite of ambition. It is part of it.

I started listening to my body more, taking better care of my health, and creating space for joy and peace, not just progress. I also began asking for help more often and being okay with not doing everything myself. That shift made me a better leader, a better creator, and a more grounded version of myself.

Growth for me right now is not about doing more. It is about doing the right things with intention and energy I actually want to bring.
