Meet Jean-Paul Flerin

We recently connected with Jean-Paul Flerin and have shared our conversation below.

Jean-Paul, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I developed my confidence and self-esteem as soon as I realized more about myself. It’s important to be able to go on a journey to find oneself, and develop on how one should look, feel, and portray themselves to the world around us.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m an independent artist from NYC, I recently released my self titled debut album ‘Jean-Paul’, alongside a stunning music video directed by Joseph and Roger from Alpha Male Visuals. I’m diligently working on my next project as well as getting the word out about my music video for Anomaly.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Being able to be resilient is important, it takes a lot to keep going if you don’t think you’re on the right path. Make sure to keep working on your craft and never give up. However, accepting constructive criticism is essential for development and growth as a whole.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
It might be a lot, trying to plan a music video, style everyone, hire your choreographer, and make up artist to get things rolling, but it’s important to take each step one at a time. Make sure to organize your daily life and make plans for deidicating certain aspects towards the project itself. It’s always good to have a friend beside you to speak with on the phone to make it all worth while.
