Meet Jeanne Collins

We were lucky to catch up with Jeanne Collins recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeanne, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

My self care routine is a habit. I have created a daily routine. Morning, Afternoon and evening to support my mind, body and soul that way I am the most effective at my businesses. I use Young Living Essential Oils in the morning to help me set the tone for my day as well as taking my supplements. With taking care of my internal health and maintaining a supplement routine then I am able to handle obstacles with ease.

I use essential oils to uplift me and maintain my focus during the day.

If I feel like I am off or having a moment where I need to recenter then I grab a set of oils, apply them and inhale them along with taking a moment to connect with my best self. This helps me to handle any situation.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My mission is to protect and honor people & our planet as I empower them with their health and beauty with low toxic products. There are too many people that are walking around feeling crappy and I use to be one of them. Now I feel amazing when I used to always have some sort of sickness from a baby to young adulthood.
One day my mom had the intuition to use Young Living essential oils on my little brother having a night terror – huddled up in the corner freaking out. You see she had already been using essential oils and supplements so when he went back to sleep within 30 minutes and slept 8 hours, which at the time was unusual it was the beginning of improvement for our family. For me, my immune system improved, my skin and my lungs. As a child I was constantly sick (sinus infection, flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, strep throat and repeat) along with constantly having a headache. My skin cleared up as I had pizza face acne (that is what I called it as I felt like a crispy cheese pizza – not good for confidence). Once I realized the benefits of essential oils and removing toxins as my health improved, I felt called to share it with the world. I feel that life is truly meant to be enjoyed.
I am forever grateful and now educate people to empower them with their health and beauty along with creating a community for entrepreneurs and creatives to thrive.

With health and beauty I educate on how our body is meant to function and ways to use essential oils and essential oil infused products to create a routine for individuals to thrive. I hold regular classes in person and on zoom, you can view upcoming classes at JeanneCollins.com . You can also book a consultation to curate your health and beauty routine.

For your beauty routine, your makeup can support your body or be disrupting it. I educate you on the value of using ingredient intelligent makeup from Beauty by Vrai that feels amazing, looks amazing and is literally skincare for your face. The Absolute Foundation won Foundation Product of the Year and I can tell you it is fabulous. My skin is smoother, wrinkles are fading. Plus, I had a really bad zit starting to form and it helped the process along. Within 5 DAYS, yes 5 Days my skin looked amazing. I noticed it because my man had a similar thing and it didn’t go away for like 11 days ,,,over a week. Then I back tracked a bit to see my results. Plus, when I realized what had happened and the next month saw that I had another issue, smaller but there. I took photos. I do love and utilize the whole line so feel free to grab any other amazing items. My other obsession is the Limitless Lip Plumper and the Eye Primer as it locks in my eyeshadow, liner and mascara for the whole day.

Beyond Health and Beauty as that is my core business as I believe that when you feel and look good then you can handle your business and any obstacle with grace and ease. I have created a community of entrepreneurs through Taos Networking and the Plaza Pop Up.

The Taos Networking by gathering entrepreneurs and creatives to deepen connections by creating a community that thrives. Empowering one another to elevate service and support to create success. We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday for lunch then the 2nd and 4th Thursday for coffee time. The Taos Networking is a membership based group, gathering many businesses and creatives to mastermind and create a thriving community.

With the Plaza Pop Up, people come to showcase their talents whether it be a service, products, artwork or craft. The Plaza Pop Up is currently held every Saturday at Hotel La Fonda de Taos. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Adaptability, Mindset and Focus- your purpose.

Adaptability as you will need many skills on your entrepreneurship journey. It is definitely best to experience and have an idea of each area that when you hire your team you know what you are looking for. The most important reason for Adaptability is that conditions can change. Yes, I plan out my day the night before and I know to be flexible when shit hits the fan that way I can handle it. It definitely helps to have your health and essential oils in this moment. Having grown up not feeling well, I can tell you it is definitely a lot easier to achieve tasks with my body working at an optimal level. Diffusing essential oils while working helps me to focus and complete my tasking in a calm manner. I only use Young Living Essential Oils as I remember I mentioned always having a headache and the importance of removing toxins. You see, I realized about 11 years ago that I am like a canary in a coal mine. My body knows when something is off as I get instant headaches. I started using Young Living in Dec 2007. When I started sharing my story in 2011, then people started being like I use essential oils and it was weird because I would smell them and then within a min (maybe 2) I would get a headache. Then one day it dawned on me…OMG, my body is giving me a sign. The sign being that the quality isn’t there and there is a toxin present as I get headaches from toxins. Now I am teaching others the sign our body gives us.

Mindset is your biggest asset. You will win when you have the mindset of winning. I know I am winning even when I am failing as I learn the lesson. Yes, there will be MOMENTS of obstacles. You have to face them in order to win. You have to hold the desire in your heart…the frequency of success. “Success is 95% mindset and 5 % strategy”- Bob Proctor. The best way to have a winning mindset is to surround yourself with people that are successful. Definitely best if they are in the same industry. My mentor is similar to me with multiple aspects to her business. I also get into successful groups as much as possible. These spaces at 1st feel a bit uncomfortable because I have to expand to meet the growth the others already have. Definitely choose that over shrinking. If you are shrinking aka not shining your light then you are cutting off abundance as well as making it hard for your people to find you. REMOVE yourself from those spaces. Grab yourself some NingXia Red and essential oils go tap into your best self and think from your goal achieved. That my friend will get you into the right energy and taking the action to achieve your goals.

Focus on your purpose and what you desire to achieve. You know the way, you know the path. There will be hard decisions and you can spend your time getting all the opinions cause people will have them. You have to know when to take action and when to have an opinion fall to the way side. This might cause a bit of friction and your people that are meant for you will remain in your circle. Always do all your work with love and enthusiasm.

To develop adaptability, work on your mindset and know yourself. When you know what you want then the opinions fall to the wayside a lot easier. It’s your life. It’s your business, ask yourself what are you willing to do? You will have to go all in, in order to win big.

To develop Focus you have to know what you want and know that you are willing to do the work. It also goes to knowing yourself and developing a great mindset.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

It is a mix- training from my industries and my mentor along with knowing what advice to take to heart.

The training I attend are essential skills for me to develop, recognize and craft my offerings. I have heard training from many doctors, scientists and farmers in order to gather the knowledge to be able to empower my clients. I believe my educational series was in 2009 and I have continuously tuned into different conventions and zooms on health, ingredients and beauty; essentially understanding how the body works and ways to maintain optimal health throughout your life.

My mentor, Melissa Poepping has been guiding me on the materials to study to achieve success. There are 5 books that we study from along with her program One Iconic Life. This is the part earlier where I mentioned being around people that are successful. The group itself is fully of successful people that are acting on their ideas and actively creating their life. The more you create your life and shine bright the more you will inspire others around you.

With my Taos Networking group, the members there have also impacted my development as I am always learning. I believe that one of the key aspects is to be open to learning and continuously expanding your awareness. Awareness is the best way to create success.

The same goes for the Plaza Pop Up, there have been times when I have learned from those artists. You know in your heart when you hear something that is true.

Develop the skill to trust yourself and your actions.
