Meet Jefe The Rockstar

We were lucky to catch up with Jefe The Rockstar recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jefe, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity comes from within from my heart, growing up I didn’t have much and I remember everyone who helped me and looked out for me , so the moment I turned 18 I started working with kids and giving back to my community so they can have someone looking out for them.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a 27 year old Los Angeles baby born and raised , I started my clothing line one in amilliyaun in 2020 during Covid . I Have 7 different logos that all symbolize togetherness and diversity “ it’s ok to be different, rare , 1 of 1 , the list goes on . I also recently dropped a mental health journal for people to use in their every day life , it has an affirmation page , a planner, writing topics , a budget spreadsheet and quotes from me myself. In the future I have a huge back to school giveaway that I’m going to start doing annually and so much more.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

My 3 most important skills are communicating effectively, having empathy, and patience . Communication has opened doors for me that no one else could , i learned that if i communicate the right way and can actually listen and understand I’ll learn so much more. Empathy is my number two, everyone is human everyone goes thru things so I try to put myself in everyone’s shoes to handle most situations and look at things from all perspectives. My biggest skill that I’m still learning is patience I’m used to having my way I’m the bay or 8 kids but the old I get I see that it might not happen when you want it to happen but it’ll happen when it needs to happen .

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my mother did was let me spend a huge amount of time with my grandparents, I’ve learned so much from them, my grandmother taught me resilience and how to be unapologetically me, my grandfather taught me how to me ambitious and how to work hard for whatever it is I want in life , I love them and miss them dearly and appreciate all the things they instilled in me.
