Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jehvah Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jehvah, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I think I found my purpose through the things I do now, through my business, Chunky Knit Corner, and our foundation, the Angels of Comfort Mission.
Chunky Knit Corner gives me the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. Through my patterns and tutorials, I get to share my knowledge and skills, and it makes me so happy to know that others have been able to start their own small businesses because of what they’ve learned from me. Through my plushies and snugglers, I get to bring comfort to others, to remind them that they are loved, that they are worthy of care, and that they are never alone. And through our Angels of Comfort Mission, we’ve been able to touch lives in an even deeper way. Together with our generous community, we’ve collected and delivered handmade angels to people who are grieving or hurting, giving comfort, warmth, and love, even to strangers.
I think that’s how I found my purpose, through doing what I love and seeing how it impacts others. My purpose is to spread kindness, love, and comfort, even to those I don’t personally know. Because kindness doesn’t need to be earned, and love doesn’t require familiarity. It simply comes from the heart.
And when my son grows up and begins to understand everything that I do, the business, the mission, the passion behind it all, I hope he’ll look back and feel proud of me. Proud of the heart, the purpose, and the love behind it all.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hi, I’m Jehvah Williams, the CEO and creator behind Chunky Knit Corner – a family-owned business based in Texas, USA.
Chunky Knit Corner isn’t just a one-woman show. My husband plays a huge role in marketing, organization, and coming up with new ideas. He also helps me during our in-person markets. And of course, our four-year-old son is our little “Quality Control Officer.” He inspires me, motivates me, and always has fun ideas for what we should make next!
At Chunky Knit Corner, we specialize in hand knitting. We offer patterns and tutorials that I personally design, along with physical products like our plushies, snugglers (or loveys), premium chunky chenille yarns and even DIY kits.
Beyond our business, my husband and I also founded Angels of Comfort Mission, an outreach that began after the tragic flash flood in Texas. With the help of our amazing community, we’ve collected over 200 handmade angels to comfort families who lost loved ones during the flood. Each angel is a symbol of love, comfort, and prayer. We’re currently delivering them personally, one angel, one family at a time and we recently partnered with Thr Core of Volunteers Foundation in Leander, Texas, to donate over 20 angels to flood survivors.
Chunky Knit Corner is more than just a business, it’s our family’s way of spreading comfort, creativity, and kindness through our products and our mission. It’s how we share a little love and warmth with the world.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Be open to learning.
If you close your mind to new ideas or refuse to adapt, it’s hard to innovate or grow. The moment you think that everything you do is already the best, you stop improving. There’s always something new to learn, whether it’s from other makers, your customers, or your own mistakes. Growth happens when you stay open and curious.
2. Stay in your lane.
In the small business world, it’s so easy to compare yourself to others. But it’s true, comparison is the thief of joy. When you constantly look at what others are doing, you start feeling like you’re never enough, like your work isn’t good enough. The truth is, everyone is on their own journey, facing different challenges, goals, and timelines.
Do your research and stay aware of what’s happening in your industry, that’s important but never lose focus on your own path. Keep your eyes on your own goals, and you’ll move forward with clarity and purpose.
3. Work passionately and from the heart.
Be authentic in everything you do because people can feel your passion. They can tell when your work comes from a genuine place.
In the small business community, connection matters. People don’t just buy your product; they buy your story, your purpose, and the heart behind what you create.
Do everything with purpose. When you show people your true self and your good intentions, that’s when real support comes.
At the end of the day, we’re not here to take from others, we’re here to offer something valuable, something created from the heart and filled with meaning.
And to my fellow makers and creators who are just starting out, find your passion, and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes aren’t failures; they’re lessons.
Believe in yourself, because in the beginning, you might find that nobody else does and that’s okay. You have to be your own biggest believer.
It’s going to be rough and bumpy at times, but keep your eyes on your own lane. Keep going. Learn from your mistakes, and never lose that spark within you.
Let your passion shine through everything you do. Each step, even the hard ones, helps you grow, refine your craft, and become stronger.
I’ve made plenty of mistakes along the way, but I wouldn’t trade any of them, because each one taught me something meaningful.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
There are so many people who have helped me overcome challenges and develop the skills I need in this business.
First and foremost, my husband.
He has been there since day one. He’s the one who bought me my very first yarn, who drives me to the stores whenever I need supplies, and who always drives me to my markets. He gives me ideas, listens to my worries, and constantly encourages me whenever I start doubting myself.
When I feel like I’m not doing enough or when I’m overwhelmed, he’s the one who reminds me that I am enough. He’ll massage my hands when they hurt, take me out to Target or the outlet mall just to help me decompress, or encourage me to get my nails done or go to the salon to take a break.
He’s always there for me, emotionally, mentally, and physically, not just as my husband, but as my partner in life and in business. Whenever I face challenges, we talk things out together, we plan, and we make things happen as a team.
Second, my son.
He’s watching me, and every single thing I do, I do with the thought that one day he’ll see the value of hard work, resilience, balance, kindness, and living with purpose. I love him so much, and I hope that when he’s old enough to read this interview, he’ll be proud of me, proud of how I never gave up, and how I always tried to build something meaningful not just for myself, but for our family and for others.
Third, my community.
My community is my motivation. They’re the people who believe in me, who root for me, and who remind me why I do what I do. I truly love my community, the people who see my heart behind my work, who appreciate what I offer, and who understand the value of handmade.
Even the people who criticize or doubt me push me, too. They remind me not to be complacent and to keep striving to grow and improve. They motivate me to do better, to create more, and to continue proving that what I do has value.
And above all, I have God.
He is my ultimate business partner. Everything I do, I lift up to Him. Every idea that comes to mind, I pray about it. Even when I design patterns, I feel His guidance in every step.
All glory belongs to Him because everything I have is because of Him. He gave me this talent, this community, my husband, my son, and all the beautiful people who have supported, connected, and inspired us along the way.
This journey, Chunky Knit Corner, our community, and the mission behind it all, is truly part of His will.
